My brother gets cars for cheap or free from his mechanic job. This one the ball joint broke a while back. Also has a rusted subframe. Was too costly to fix so he let the shop have it. The back brakes got locked up from sitting there. Now its here.

Doc Savage!
Read a ton of those when I was in middle school. For some reason didn’t keep them when I still have many of my books going back to high school. I’ve collected some original sci-fi of my favorite authors. Man, if my mother only knew what I was reading back then,, haha (Gor series,,,, cough cough) Back in 2019 I was working in Nova Scotia and found this cool little coffee house that was also a used book store. Spent many a quiet Sunday buying orig Sci-Fi PBs, caffeinating nicely in a cozy chair, reading away. Was a nice way to recharge from a 60-80 hr week on site, getting ready for the next week.

Yeah, I had a ton of my old books and got rid of them thinking "these will always be available". I was wrong. Many/most are no longer in print, so are hard to find now.

I remember the Gor books. They warped me. And the Vallejo covers were awesome.
Winters are long and dark. Burroughs novels are a quick fun read. Going to enjoy these.,

I paid real money for that. It’s on the coffee table because I can’t fit it on a regular shelf.

I started reading the Conan paperbacks during a summer I spent away at college. Went through the entire series that was available at that time. Also some related literature. This was in '75. Always have a paperback on my night stand and a FF calendar on the wall. Really nice setting you have there......throw in the Heelers and you're set! ![]() ![]()

Wilton model 746. (Maybe 646? Wilton documentation is hit and miss. I think this was made between '75 and 79?)
The guy wouldn't budge on the price but he threw in the chainsaw and the vintage stapler to boot. I'll clean up that vise and replace this cheap Craftsman that makes me mad each time I use it. ![]() ![]()

Mini-Mac chainsaw....nice! Worth freshening up if you are so inclined. I used one for years and it was very handy. Good score, HO!

How do you go from getting a lower price to throw in a stapler and a chainsaw and we have a deal? ![]()
