Wife wanted to stop by the local Goodwill today. I headed right for the housewares dept in the back and sitting there is a Coleman 414 Dual Fuel stove with the igniter knob. It was in pretty good shape and I noticed it even had fuel in the tank, but it doesn't have the top burner grate. For sale for $9.99 and I can't pass this up.

I get in home and put a few drops of oil on the pressure plunger shaft, pump the pressure up, turn the gas on and turn the igniter knob and POOF, I gotta a flame! I'm cookin' with gas! I'll get a new replacement grill grate from HD and cut in down to fit.

GF likes my Panasonic TV recorder. It's quite handy. The phone rings during the news and you press pause then come back with another glass of wine and carry on from where you left off.

And at the dump shop there was one. The box opened but otherwise unused. (Converted to usd) $14 whereas they are $262 in the shops.

This is a FB Marketplace score . I have been looking for a combo diesel fuel tank with toolbox . I wanted to extend the driving range of my dually when pulling the 5th wheel camper . I have been looking for about 6 months . Last week I spotted exactly what I wanted on Marketplace and started a conversation with the seller . Pics looked good and price was fantastic . Unfortunately he was 5 hours away :(

But luck was on my side , my BIL lives 40 minutes from the seller . He just picked it up about 30 minutes ago . I wasn't available this weekend and I didn't want to lose the deal . It worked out perfectly . I will go pick it up this week sometime.

What I purchased is a BCI 50 gallon + tank and toolbox combo . Made of 12 gauge steel empty it weighs 268 lbs !!! It is coated on the outside from the factory with truck bed coating . I had my BIL look down the filler pipe with a flashlight the inside looks shiny new . New from the factory they are $1670.00 , I got it for $400.00 ! To say the least I am super happy . The gravity feed will be perfect for my 2001 GMC .

Here is a link to the manufacturers site/model .

Do you plumb that into the fuel line or do you pump the fuel into the tank from a hand pump? I never knew they existed.

Neither . The auxiliary fuel tank has a ball valve mounted on one end at the bottom of the tank . That ball valve has a 3/8 barbed fitting . You run a 3/8 ID fuel hose from that valve to the OEM tanks filler neck . I have to buy the kit for the filler neck it's about 25 bucks .

So as an example my OEM tank is at 1/4 . You open the ball valve and gravity does its thing . Not super fast but it doesn't have to be . Close the ball valve when the original tank is full or whenever you want . My 2001 is ancient technology so gravity feed works . At some point newer trucks crossed the complexity line and pumps are needed . I like the simplicity of the gravity feed .

Scored these at a garage sale a few months ago, got the two hose reels with air hose and the four jack stands for only $20 for all! I just sent one of the hose reels to my son in CO. with his friend who is driving out to visit him.

Sidewalk score.
I dropped off the turbo to get a screw removed from the tire.
While walking back to the shop I noticed a ratchet on the walk, picked up, noticed that it was broken, http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1738473757.jpg

But I noticed that it was Husky, a Home Depot brand, a quick google search and turned out that it was has a lifetime warranty http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1738474160.jpg
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1738474160.jpg
Since there was a Home Depot right around the corner, on my way home, I stopped and bang, got a new one.
Another score, thanks to a friend, with my Mother’s current back issues, I want to be prepared.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1738474613.jpg

Nice score on the ratchet. I had a similar find back in the mid 90s.

What is the other thing that you got. At first I thought it might be one of those things that you put a knee on when you've got one leg out, but then I noticed it folded out wider. I guess a high performance walker that you can also sit in?

Yes, the Porsche GT3 of walkers, something that will be easier for her to take pressure off her back. Can sit, has a storage area for her flask.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1738547974.jpg

A high tech firm has sold their property and is moving all their stuff out and sending a lot to electronic waste for recycling or just to the landfill! There are dozens of pallets stacked 4 feet high with millions of dollars of electronic equipment they are sending off to recycle. I just don't understand why they don't send it to a salvage company instead. I was able to get a few things since I know someone in the know. This stuff below was being thrown away!

Solder Suckers! Never could get the hang of them and the size is really limiting. Give me old school wick any day.

Back when I was multi layer, micro certified, we used a smaller version, pneumatic with heated tips and pedal controlled suction.

The bench supply is cool as well as the Flukes.

Wow! I hear about this stuff all of the time, but I'm pretty much never in a position to take advantage of it. I did once get a free multimeter (cheap brand, mid level) out of a place that I worked because they were throwing a bunch out that had been replaced with something better. That's as close as I think I've ever come to benefiting from that sort of deal.

Picked up some curbside plywood the other day just down the road. It's the ribbed kind used for siding - not sure the technical name for it. Goes for about $45 per sheet. I have 2 full size sheets and some smaller but still good size pieces. Timely score for me as I'm doing a couple small projects here I can use them on.....

Thanks, Mark - I knew it had a name! :)

Nice score on the electronic stuff, BTW! SmileWavy

True Temper wheelbarrow yesterday in Mom's old neighborhood. Slight crack in tub - otherwise seems to be OK/usable. I aired up the tire to 15 lbs and so far it's holding.

Wood is a little weathered and some rust on the metal parts, but nothing major. I like these with the large plastic tub!

Nice I pick up barrows alot. Usually they need quite alot of work. The last one I got it a big dual wheel one. I fixed the tires and I still have to weld the frame its a bit shaky but its a good barrow i like the dual wheel ones. Last summer I had like 8 or 9 I sold off most of them.

Ha ha - I probably have like 8-9 here at the moment. Most need some work - but tomorrow I am going to thin the herd!

I will strip off any usable parts and then 86 the rest. Too much crap here! :D
