Aase took an F-5E belly tank, polished it up and made a nice couch out of it.

Pretty nice little CL score today. I just happened to click on the electronics section of our local CL and there was a listing for 4 used outdoor Yamaha speakers - all for only $20. About a 15 minute drive so not too bad. The listing had just been posted within' a couple hours. Called the seller and he said they worked fine but his significant other wanted to change things up after they did some re-painting so these were no longer needed. They were mounted under his eave so didn't get rained on. He left them on the back porch of a house he used as a rental and I left his $20 under his back welcome mat. I actually stuck another $5 in there after I saw he left the speaker wiring, which had end plugs already on them and it was the heavy duty speaker wire - a nice unexpected bonus.

I already have a set of these in white on the front of my house and another different brand (KLM) in front of my garage. Now I can put sets on both the south and west sides of my house. I use a Pyle brand receiver that accepts a USB flash drive which I load with music I like.

These speakers go for about $75/pair on Amazon so as long as they still sound good, it was a good little score for me.

Trying chicken thighs on it now. Wanted to do hot, like 3 to 350 but it doesn’t wanna go past 240. Perfect for ribs and butts I guess. I’ll just let the thighs get some smoke for an hour or two and then finish them on the grill.

Pop the access door open to get a bit more air in the cooker.
Good score!

Bought a '92 Eric Clapton Strat (on the left, awaiting new strings). Already had a '91 that I picked up a few months ago. Wasn't in the market but the CL one was almost half what I paid for the other one! Couldn't pass it up. Both play and sound great

Nice score on the Strats, Pedro!

I got a free chair today....very comfy to sit on but not too keen on the back. The cat will probably like it though.....

More free chairs - left curbside about 5 blocks away - picked them up on the way home from some late work at one of my accounts.

They are the cheapo plastic versions - but - no broken parts - and I love this colour!

GSAuction items in CA

For anyone who is in the Ontario, CA area or willing to drive there, GSA Auctions (gsaauctions.gov) has quite a few pieces of industrial machinery (Bridgeport mill, LeBlond lathe, dividing heads, mag-base drills, pedestal grinder, etc.) being offered at good prices right now. Since there are government sites and offices all around the country, this can be an excellent source, usually at pennies on the dollar. Typically, you will have to load it yourself, so no shipping! As always, buyer beware! In the past, I have picked up a Dake-Johnson horizontal band saw, an ancient Black & Decker 10" pedestal grinder, two John Deere 59" snowblowers for my tractor, and an ESAB plasma cutter (I'll get photos out later). I have missed out on more due to either being outbid or forgetting about the auction endings (typically they have ended right when my Scout meetings begin). Since it is an auction site, things can get crazy with bidding. Also, and I have found this to be very frustrating, they follow English auction rules, which means there is a prescribed time limit of inactivity that must occur before the auction ends. Hopefully someone can find something and make it theirs!

Picked up this electric bike on CL.
It is a couple of years old but only 71 miles on the clock.
Retailed for $2200. Got it for $700.
The tires are so big I had to tie-wrap it to my bike rack to get it home.

Now I can keep up with my wife on her electric without having to work so hard. Or at all.

We don't know if it's a score or not.

He could have paid $5K for each seat.

Everyone needs to post what they paid - or in my case - if it was free.
