Picked this up yesterday at an estate sale. Maybe I can get whatever is in our attic to take the bait. Probably a squirrel. Got this and a file, long 3/8" drill bit and few open end wrenches for $12.

Another freebie left curbside at one of the condominiums here.

In good shape except fabric is ripped and needs replacing.

I've been looking for a lounger so good timing - just have to replace the fabric...

This followed me home today.
Cool seller. I responded to his ad a few days ago saying I would like to come see his pit and he marked his ad Pending Pickup.
20" diameter barrel cooking barrel with two levels for grilling space. The sellers employees (4 oilfield service guys) came to load this on my truck. I helped, but I think it was a bit of an ego thing. I don't think they needed my help.
Did I need this? Yes apparently I did. Have been wanting to try a stick burner for quite some time.
Did I steal this one? I had asked our resident stick burner guru Tabs about this. He replied that I better show up with cash money asap.
I think I did OK.
Will post more photos when I get it cleaned up a bit.

Funny story, there were some fellas delivering appliances down the street so I asked them if their power endgate would get this thing down off my truck as it is about 660 lbs. Was nice, they made a bit of cash and I don't have a sore back!
It is also harder to find friends when you are past your mid 50s that will come over and help with a lift like this!

660 lbs.......good Lord.......you did good on just the loading and unloading logistics, Bill....let alone the score itself!

Congrats and happy BBQing!

Found these 2 Shure microphones at a yard sale. Wireless, one rechargeable. $10 for the pair.

And then i found this Mac 10mm wrench. Paid $5 for a small tool box with lots of Craftsman wrenches and sockets. This Mac was in there. You can never have enough 10mm wrenches!

More free stuff....curbside just a few houses down from me.

A comforter in very good condition - I can use as a car cover for my 356 in the garage. A rusty but still operational 3 speed Hunter box fan. Set of shelves which are nice because of the small footprint can fit into smaller spaces. Camping cot in perfect condition with perfect condition pad. And two patio fabric chairs in good condition - no rips. My cat already broke one in last night!

Now I know where all the junk I put out for the trash disappears to before the trash truck gets here.
Baz has enough lawn furniture to rent out for weddings and bar mitzvahs.
I don’t want my or anyone’s else’s junk.

Good finds there Baz.

I'm slowly rounding up things for the man cave in the shop building that I'm working on rebuilding.

This rug and the chair with striped cushions both came from Craigslist.
$50 for the chair and only $20 for the rug

That's my brother sitting in the allmost completed screened porch in front of his airstream.

Cheers Richard

Not sure Greg, it's got a cloth label stapled to the bottom that says Persian carpet and some numbers.

Someone with knowledge could probably tell more from the design, colors etc.
Thanks, It is nice.

Cheers Richard

The center Medallion is the key. I think it is a Meshed.

Good tip Tabs. Should have known you would be on top of this.

Looking into it I found that the rug is probably from Mashad Iran, in the north east near the border with Afghanistan. It's a major producer of fine rugs.

The colors and materials plus as you said the center medallion are charicteristics of rugs from that area.

Very cool to learn about!

Cheers Richard

No way of knowing unless our Tabullah will cough up the required launch phrase.

Cheers Richard

When i was in high school once riding with my friends my handlebars pulled out over a curb and we had no way to tighten it. Pretty far from home we headed twords my other friends house hopeing we would find something to tighten the stem. Not 100 ft from where it happend we found a 9/16 wrench on the road. My brother has a 6th sence for finding snap-ons at flea markets and garage sales. Once we were looking at dishes and he said look for a snap-on cup. Bam I pull out a snap-on cup "heres one" thats happend atleast half a dozen times

Some photos of my Kijiji score from a couple of weeks ago all cleaned up and ready to get cooking...

Was work to get it cleaned and firebox repainted but it looks really good after the re-seasoning burn in a couple of days ago.
