He could have paid $5K for each seat. Everyone needs to post what they paid - or in my case - if it was free. :p |

Not pic worthy but today I picked up a 4:80x12 galvanized wheel/tire combo for $20.00 . I needed this as a spare for my boat trailer , the tire still has sticker residue on the sidewall it's never been on the road . The tire is 6 ply !

Not sure what size I have on my boat trailer. Probably same as yours. Good score, Rick! |
Do you think the current situation has helped or hurt Craigslist?
Helped - Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc are closed, so more people are putting things on the curb - free. Hurt - More unemployment may mean more people snagging the good stuff quicker. Really hurt - Non-essential store shutdown has led to Craigslist abuse. There's a local pawnshop chain - PawnAmerica - that has been flooding craigslist with their overpriced crap. They have 18 stores in Minnesota and Wisconsin. They have their own retail website, and average around 4000 items at any one time on eBay. Since March, a lot of their stores are posting their inventory to Craigslist. This wouldn't be bad except for two things - They post as an owner, not a dealer, avoiding the dealer fees, and they don't haggle on their inflated prices. For instance, they had a Craftsman 4 drawer rolling tool chest for $180.00. At the Sears Hometown store it's $179.99 when it is on sale. They make an ad for every crappy game or bluray. The local store at one time had 500 ads up. I see on the Madison WI there's ads pleading for people to flag them, but now on the Madison site they post without using their name or address, but savvy users can still tell it's them. A post gets flagged down, they put it right back up. CL corporate doesn't seem to care. You'd think they would have metrics running on all their sites, and if a site suddenly experiences an uptick in posts, with a similar uptick in flagged posts, they'd look into it, but I guess not. Sorry for the rant. |

I don't want anymore stuff..I want to get rid of stuff... so I am not really looking.
That doesn't mean that if I stumble over something in the dark that is worth a goodly amount I won't pick it up... It is like found money...as in yeah I tore up the winning Lotto ticket...sure you would.. Mostly it is just spoons and the stuff they eat...with spoons you really can't get a steal..it is just getting a good price for what you want. . |

More free stuff!
Two tables. One has a tile top which is pretty cool - and couple hooks on the side. The other is all plastic which is good because it won't corrode from our salt air. It's about 4 1/2' x 3' and can be disassembled, which is nice. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1591835547.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1591835547.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1591835547.JPG |
And you could stick an umbrella in it!

Had a buddy who made prosthetics. His motto was "If you need an arm or a leg, I'll give you a hand"!
