Thanks, Sid. I always thought the shorter beds became more common only as a result of the increase in popularity of the extended cabs. But I guess that size (6') has always been the standard....and my 8' bed is the "non-standard" size aka "long bed".

Learn something new every day.

Best practice going forward though is to go by measurements rather than descriptive words alone.

I think that is reversed--we always call the 8' box the "standard" size and the 6' a short bed. So a crew cab standard box would be a 4-door truck with 8' bed, while a crew short box would be a four-door with a 6' bed.

Today's finds - all from one estate sale. I usually don't go to estate sales as the prices are typically just stupid high. Figured I'd check it out since it was on a Thursday and close to home.

Mimiya C22O medium format camera
Fisher Studio Standard RS1O5O receiver
Dual CS5O5 Turntable with box
Kenwood Linear turntable
Small boxes are turntable cartridges.

All for..... $30.

I'm sure watch prices will go up now. Goodwill in Phoenix has gone nuts with pricing stuff. At my local store there is currently an elliptical trainer that's broken priced at $500. An LCD projector that sells on eBay for $150 priced at $600, and a Star Trek phaser that sells on eBay for $25 priced at $130. Beat up Johnson electric guitar? $100.

My best Goodwill watch was a Seiko Arnie that I paid $10 and sold on eBay for >$400.

Thanks Herr Oberst....I just hope the sucker fits my '02! Will find out tomorrow. :)

I have a care package heading your way soon, BTW.

Sorry buddy, but I don't think that is not going to fit. I have a 2009 hd , and a 2004 hd. I recently replaced the bed on my 2009, and had an extra liner. I tried to put it in the 2004, and it was a no go. The bed sides on the newer trucks are taller, and the inside dimensions are different.

Thanks, Fred...good to know. That bed liner was too short anyway - mixup in the ad - which read "regular" - which I interpreted as 8', which I have. Turned out to be 6' long - too short. I may take mine off and try to patch it from underneath. It only has a tear in the middle about 8" long - the rest of it is fine. We'll see....

got a great, great, great score on a snap-on toolbox tonight off of craigslist. one of the cool things about living in indy, is you never know who you'll meet in the racing industry. I picked this up tonight from a former team manager from an IndyCar team. he basically gave it away to make room in his garage. He even loaded it up in his truck and delivered it to my house for me. Great guy.

Picked up this office chair in perfect condition curbside at a local church along with a pile of other items I didn't care to rifle through. The chair was just sitting on top (no pun intended).
