Craig, that is beautiful. I have a handful of western art, actually cowboys and Indians. Nothing too well known.

Really scored today. Ramsey winch for my jeep, a 7hp robin diesel engine, a box of lights and belts and filters thrown in $120. for everything. The winch works and the engine runs great

Not really at the moment. The fact that it runs best at one rpm limits its use. Cant really use it on a gokart or minibike so its best for a tractor or something like that. Im sure i will find a use someday. Im most excited about the winch. Iv been wanting a decent unit for my willys since i got it 20 years ago

I'm quite pleased with this score. Cool thing is I can carry (only just) it myself, and my little 2hp Honda outboard will fit on the back.

Excellent! Old sailors never die, they just get a little dinghy.

Cool find!!! Is it made from aluminum, wood, or fiberglass?

That winch looks great on your Jeep . I bet you could get out of some nasty mud bogs with that .

Plastic.

Or as the big dogs say high-density polyethylene (HDPE). I cleaned all the gunk of it and it's actually quite nice. Nice enough.

Let’s see some more pictures!

In the mid 70’s, I was about 15, and older kid across the street had a flat fender jeep from the early 50s. I thought it was the coolest thing. Helping him work on it, is where I cut my teeth working on cars.

Its a 46 cj2a i got when i was 15 in 2001 for $200. it was sitting since the 70s and had a tree growing through it. I fixed it all up and drove it to school a few years . Later rebuilt the engine in it. Its still got the factory drivetrain and axles just have a locker in the rear and saganaw steering conversion. Thats why i couldnt tuck the winch behind the bumper where its supposed to fit. After that its been on and off the road a few times i mainly use it for yard work and getting firewood now. I also have a bantam trailer for it. I have a 67 cj5 thats my road going jeep. I always wanted a proper winch for it glad it finally got one. Lots of good times ill never sell it

what does the 7hp robin diesel engine weight ?

I have seen new motors out of china like that small 1 banger diesel
but fear china quality of unknown makers
and did not know of a older USA made small 1 banger diesel

my plan is a cheap sail boat motor for very occasional use on a 25 ft
as we sail 99% of the time

Doesn't it have crazy diff ratios like 5.13 or similar ? My dad had an early 60's CJ with a four banger and 5.13 diffs . With the transfer case in low it would climb a tree at idle if it had the traction 😁 . Downside was highway speed was a screaming 55 or so .

I've got the '44 version with a SBC in it with CJ5 Dana axles front and rear. I think the ratios didn't change much because the chevy would be wound out at anything over 65. But it's scary enough a 55 so that's about as fast as I will go. Not much of a freeway car.

Not much of any kind of car, just a novelty. They will do some work, though. Not mine, too clean.

yes 5.38 gears! you can bolt on an overdrive on the back of the t case where the pto output is. Later the cj5s have more ratio options. my 67 with buick v6 has 3.73 so it can do highways if you are brave enough. Iv only done it a few times. Not very safe. But it goes as slow as the willys since the big tires speed it up.

id guess about 60lbs. not too bad really. I think a cast iron tecumseh is maybe a little heavier i just moved one today. You probably need a battery its not easy to pull over by hand

Picked up two LT265 70r18s from separate sellers. One on FB marketplace and the other on Kijiji.
New takeoffs. Wrangler SRA load rating E.
Will let you know if it really was a score once I have them mounted up!

The older fella I had purchased the truck from had a rather large 5th wheel trailer and being a SRW 1 ton the tires were a bit worn. They are still OK but would rather have something with a fresh bite on the back for the winter months.

Twice a year there's a city-wide yard sale in the little town of Needville. Been going to that for about 30 years. It never disappoints. Picked up this Victor cutting rig for $100. I already had one, so I sold it on FBMP for $500.

The guy helped me load it up then said, "Hey, I have a plasma cutter if you're interested. It's a "thermos" brand or something." I thought Hypertherm?!? So, yea, I'm interested! Bought this Hypertherm Powermax 30 Air for $300. I already had a Thermal Dynamics and don't do much cutting, so I sold it on eBay for $1,400!

I have a general rule that if I see Hilti, I buy Hilti. Paid $2 for this Hilti remote. Actually, I don't even know what it does. I sold it on eBay for $160 though.

Paid $5 for this Hilti ramset-type gun. I got two of them. Sold one for $150 and the other for $170.

Bought this Hilti 24VDC drill for $50. Two batteries and the charger. It'll torque down any Milwaukee or Dewalt out there. I'm keeping this one.
