The jaws hold the two ends of the blade in place. Then you push down the big lever. The jaws are spring loaded and push the ends of the blade together while applying a current. There is a cut off switch that turns off the current automatically.

The grinding wheel is used to clean up the weld prior to annealing. Really a high quality machine.

More like dumpster diving
While taking the trash out at my Mother's condo, I saw this big bag of packing peanuts (there is a thread in the 911 parts page about a seller who didn't properly pack something)
And since I do ship stuff, this will come in handy.

Picked up this old chev for pretty much free from my brothers boss. It died last year when the night kid let it run all night and it ran out of gas. They couldnt get it going again they think the injectors or something is clogged up. It needs a gas tank and who know what else. Too much to bother fixing. We got it for the parts it has an almost new transmission for our tahoe. and i can use the tires seat belts and such for my Fc-150 progect. We are selling the plow and splitting the money with his boss. Already tore off the plow and box . Probably just going to store the rest until we need the parts.

Was watching the Mini O's amateur MX racing last week and got the itch to race again after seeing they have a 55+ vet class. I grabbed my phone and did a quick search of Facebook Marketplace looking for a cheap exercise machine. At the top of the page was a Marcy Platinum for FREE about 10 miles away that was just listed. I grabbed my trailer and ran over there on Thanksgiving morning and snatched it. Wife is not impressed with me getting more junk in the hangar. lol

My arms are so sore now. lol

I can't find a model number on it anywhere.... Would love to know the model number so I can then download the manual for it.

Craigslist and Garage sale scores!

Didn’t score this….

A Toyota Tundra for $800…. Seemed legit

The email exchange between the seller and the wifey were very entertaining.

Curbside in Mom's neighborhood this morning. The homeowner was sitting on her porch with her dog, so I pulled up and asked if it still worked. She said it did, but I may want to swap out some of the white bulbs. She was happy it was going to it's forever home instead of the landfill.

A Christmas tree that doesn't shed and it fit real easy in the Volvo...and indeed it does work! Gonna leave it on my front deck for now. Jury still out on swapping any bulbs out.

Thanks! I almost blew it off but ultimately glad I stopped. Fits in nicely with my deck theme!

I see why the previous owner commented about the white bulbs though - a little on the bright side!

I like it. Yes it really ties in with the cabana look. Good score.

Thanks, Bill....I agree!

Will post a followup pic when I get the new lights on her.

Another score today......

On the way back to Mom's house after a dermatology appointment for her.....right on the side of the road (I had to do a double take!). A 20" Lasko oscillating pedestal fan - in almost perfect condition!

My theory is it was bought to help with a house that had some flooding and was no longer needed/wanted.

I had to backup and then pull off the road and my Mom was going "What's going on....what are you doing?" If she only knew this was fairly routine for me.

Also my prancing moose stickers arrive by mail today....lol....

Just scored an unfished Winston fly rod for CHEAP. Very early serial number. It has Fisher blanks. 3wt 8.5'

Mrs. LWJ has it for me under the tree.

Just picked up this doghouse and crate off CL.
They were listed for $60.
When I got there, the posted said I could have them for free. He just didn't want to say that in the ad to avoid all the sketchy people it would draw.
It was such a good deal, and he was so cool, I gave him the $60 anyway.

When the house wouldn't fit in my wagon, he volunteered to deliver it.
Great deal.

Some fantastic finds here...makes me think I should have learned the art of the hunt better.

Here's a 14 minutes video of the best "tool haul" I've seen on youtube...
