Nice score. What’s the background story?

I think another car is in the future. I’m looking for a carcass, so I can get started on a lightweight bargain build. Probably won’t backdate the targa. 50/50.

The background story is that some people decided they wanted to go steel backdate and I got the fiberglass scraps for cheap. The good news is they’ve already been professionally fit and finished so that’s half the battle.

The morning walk was very profitable today.
This Lezyne floor pump was in the parking strip. These are expensive, especially the all alloy models, so I knocked on the door to make sure it was free-pile. Owner said it didn't work, and yes, I could have it.

A new o-ring and fresh grease and it works like new.

Great find! I think those are pricey.

I picked up this pool cue at a yard sale for $35. It’s a Cuetec Spuer Slim Carbon Composit - whatever that means. Came with a case and some tools. Just sold it at auction on eBay for $365.

Not a score really

but, I finally found a mid and top box to match my roller. Got the roller pretty cheap off CL and now paid about half the going rate for the mid and top locally from the same gent. Found them on CL as well.

These are heavy so, shipping makes it not worth it looking at the Bay or other one line auctions.. gotta find them local.

Found this tree pruner at an estate sale. Great shape. I found it in the garage standing in the corner. Labeled at $20, but I got for $10 because everything was half price on second day.

Picked up these two roadside two different places. The pressure washer was fine just had a bit of water in the carb and the fuel pump seemed to have lost prime. Just blew in the gas tank to prime it and it started right up. Pump works fine it had no hose or handle but i had extras. The generator had a mouse nest in it they ate the ground wire in the shroud also the coil was rusted to the flywheel so it wouldnt spin. Fixed those and its working great.

Got a dresser mirror thing my neighbor had out for free. Then on my way to a rummage sale picked up a few mowers out for trash and one had a cracked block that spilled all over the car. Right after that I found a cast iron rooster weathervane in the trash that was the score of the day. Then at the rummage sale got a 502 coleman stove for 4$ and a bunch of old vhs horror movies. I got the mowers fixed up with spare parts i have around. Today found some nice bikes on my way home from the scrap yard.

Yesterday, while servicing two of my four accounts, saw these chairs at the curb two houses over across the street. Fellow in the driveway said they were moving the owner of the home - his mother-in-law (aged 86) - to assisted living in Altamonte Springs - where they lived. And the house was going to be sold. This is in a more coveted neighborhood across from the oceanfront homes so it should fetch a good dollar. He said no one wanted these chairs. My reply: "I'll happily give them a second home."

Turns out - dang things are more comfortable than any of the other chairs I have acquired! I can't find one fault! They both swivel and rock. There are 3 of them. One has a caster that kept slipping out of it's leg so I Gorilla glued it in today.

I will be using two of these out on one of my new decks out front. The third will be kept as a reserve.

Check out the springs they used (2nd pic) - old school!

Love scores like this!

Picked up this trailer this morning from a CL ad. $1,200.00.

Had to drive to St. Augustine for it.

All aluminum & practically brand new. Custom made by a reputable local trailer company. Gate is removable.

Could be used for motorcycles or whatever......

That is a cool little trailer Baz.
Has it got bearing buddies on the hubs?
What are the deck measurements?
Looks clean, tires OK?

If you find those casters on the chairs don't roll easily or tend to mar your deck, I suggest you replace them with a set of these wheels:

Yup, roller blade wheels. Set of 5 from Amazon was less than $20.

I have those in my office chair. If I even come close to it, it rolls away on the concrete floor.
