Brazil F1
Looks like this weekend's practice/quali/race is forecast rain/rain/rain. Might be a bit of a game changer? I always kind of like rain races for a change.
Hope it's a good one. |

Agreed. A solid down pour of water always spices up a race.

Maybe the rain could be localized to just over Alonso's car :-)

Disagree! The rain should be over Vettel's car.

I love wet races as it really shows who are the good drivers and who are just the ones depending on a better car.
What pisses me off is that this is not a race, its a "tire saving strategy" situation. For all of the top teams to stay in the garage because frigging Bernie only allows 3-4 sets of tires for the entire weekend is a bloody abortion. Give them as many tires (and allow testing too boot!) as they need so that they can RACE!

Wet, Wet, Wet.
All three practices were wet, and interesting.
Quali starts in 15 mins! Wet again. |

I don't understand the restriction on wet tires at all. It's not enough to mandate tires with artificially short lives, and require using the undesirable compound as well as the optimal one, now we limit the number of full wets permitted for the whole weekend? Such a contrived, NASCAR-like rule.
I do love wet races. Maybe it will be raining hard all three days and the teams will be forced to intermediates during the race. That will be nicely stupid. Quote:

Quali
Quali was good., I wont spoil it for you. Went to rain delay just before Final Qual' then wasn't covered by TV.
Does any one have a good view of Ham's new green helmet colors?

I completely agree and qually in the rain today proved this point..... The best driver is almost a full second clear of the field in a rain soaked session.

While I will not disagree, the coming and going of the rain made for some luck when one went for a hot lap.

Yeah, I think the timing of their runs had a lot to do with how they did. The results aren't 100% reflective of their individual abilities. Plus, there were mistakes by some of the drivers that were not seen on TV. That's no big deal when you have 5 laps in comparable conditions but a bigger deal when the track conditions change from one lap to the next. Tomorrow may be interesting as the chance of rain isn't as high as the annoucers would leave you to believe. I've heard it's 30%.

And Nico beats Hammy. I wish he could win a race or two.

I'm excited, so long as we don't have too many crash outs, this should be a fantastic race.
Vettel got wrecked/spun, and came blasting through the field last year to win the championship. Turn 1 will have a lot of pressure for him to make it through without losing pieces of the car like last year. As for Alonso, I'll be glad when either he moves on from Ferrari, or Ferrari moves on from him.

I have to watch the race with the announcers talking Spanish on Dish 272 ever since Speed-vision went away.
