Haven't driven since mid-October. Needs some work (tires, rear brakes, timing belt) over the winter - probably bring it out in April.

Mines been stored now for about three weeks...... Outside at my mother in laws (all bundled up and mouse proofed) as we are selling our house and did not need the grief of moving the 911 in the mid of winter. She let me park the boat there as well....great great lady.

Living in upstate NY, I try to get her out at least once a month taking advantage of windows of opportunity - 35 to 40 degrees and dry. I give her at least 20 minutes of driving to get everything lubricated and excersized. Tuck her back in for another month. No tire flat spotting, battery issues, congealed oil and driver's lament.

So you storage guys, why not start it once a week/month, warm it up, and move it a few feet forward or backward during the Winter months?

I put the 911 away when the salt hits the roads, so far we have been lucky and haven't seen any except on some very bad hills and it has been washed away. I use the winter time to do some projects like valve adjustment or rebuild a pedal cluster, whatever she needs. I also completely clean her, like remove the interior and clean every little spot I can get a Q-Tip into. I hate putting her away but it isn't that bad, I drive the Boxster year around as long as there isn't any snow, that is what the truck is for.

Roll it to avoid flat tire spots? Yes.

Since our country roads never get salt, if I get I nice dry day, I'll drive her a few miles around the block and get it to operating temperature.

State roads, not till the spring rains wash the salt away.

Mine only is stored for transmission or engine rebuild season. About every 15 years.

I'm going for my last romp today, then tucking her away until April. Roads have been lightly salted but rain has washed about 90% off and it's dry out. I'll still wash her jewels when we get back though.

Cold weather starts with heavy weight summer oil is not a great idea, although I've done it before.

You are supposed to let most of the air out of your tires to prevent flat spots. Rolling the car back and forth a foot or two does little to rotate to a new resting position.

The car's battery really does not like to sit in an unused car for long in cold weather, shorten's it's life. Pulling the battery is better in my opinion.
