18 1/2 years is a long time for a little doggie
Had to put my little girl down yesterday morning. We had held off until it was apparent that her bad days were out numbering her good ones.
I held her while the vet administered first the sedative and then the euthanizing solution. It took less than two minutes but her entire little life washed over me all at once. It sure was quiet when I came downstairs this morning. ![]() ![]()

I feel for you. That is a sad day. We have been in that position several times and it is a loss you feel keenly for a long time.

RIP.
My wife had a mini dachshund for 18.5 years as well. She had that dog when we got married. It was a special little dog. We had to put down both of our 16 year old dogs within 30 days last time. Now we have a 3 year old & a one year old. It is so hard to loose a cool dog. My condolences.

Sorry for your loss.
Putting a pet down is one of the toughest things I've ever done. 18 1/2 years is a long run.

Sorry to hear of your loss. 18.5 years is a long life for a dog. Two years ago our black lab Sally was euthanized and I could not be there to witness it. It's a heartbreaker.

Never a good day when we have to say goodbye to our little buddies.
My condolences.

Certainly a life well lived and worth celebrating.
"If dogs don't go to heaven when they die, I want to go wherever they go". Not sure who said it or if I quoted it right, but the point is the same. Sorry for your loss. |

So sorry for your loss. My wife and I had to do the same thing this past July after 16 1/2 years with our little girl. She will always be in your heart and mind as there is nothing like the love of a dog.
