When you put your sporty car away for the winter...

what do you drive for excitement? Or else is it just purely for function such as a Ford F150?

My 1986 El Camino. I have been driving it for 22 years. It is my Daily Driver.

It normally looks like this.

I drive on black ice for a little excitement, how about you?

Nothing like doing a 360 at 40 mph to get your heart pumping.

I drive an old S-10 4x4 in the winter, it gets the job done but doesn't want to swap ends like the short wheelbase Geo Tracker did.

if you put the car away(for winter),while living in Vancouver, you are missing out on some fine driving.

Honda Accord coupe for the winter. About as exciting as a refrigerator but the heater works great and with snow tires it goes about anywhere.

Ewwwww, that's gross.
T-shirt for round the house, hawaiian shirt for going out, cargo shorts and flip-flops. That's it for about 8 months out of the year (when I'm not at work).

I wonder if a 427 cobra kit car would be a good winter vehicle .....

Year round, I've been known to make the tires go 'squeeeeel' around various on and off ramps on my daily commute in my Ford Explorer Sport-Trac. The BMW drives behind me hate not being able to keep up with me...

If Mrs. Z-man is with me, she will attempt to remind me that I'm driving my pickup truck, not my Porsche.

After its third season as an $1100.00 lot only plow truck , I finally put floors, and rockers, and patched all the holes, hung exhaust, and made it inspectable. I have been driving it back and forth to work for the last 3 weeks.

Sort of fun in a lone wolf Mcquade kind of way. I used to sneak it home last year on the backroads to plow my driveway. It had no floors, and no exhaust, shocks were blown out, lights did not work etc..
It actually runs good.
My other winter beater

She drives a 325 xi 4wd wagon every day.

I put winter tires on my sporty car, then go play in the snow.

Lately it's been an 09 Silverado. Sometimes I unhitch the trailer and drive the Tundra, especially if the weather report is for ice and no snow.

Here is what I use when we have snowy weather. The 2001 Blazer has been my work horse for 12 years. The salt has caused havoc to my fuel lines in the past year. I had to correct that.
