Oh, the weather outside is frightful

Well really, frightful doesn't describe it at all. Truly awful here is eastern Canada. Don't think I've ever seen it so "frightful"

It's been snowing for days, with freezing rain just for fun. Seems to be right across the continent.

I suppose it could always be worse.,

OH Canada! Fortunately you have more than your fair share of snuggle bunnies to see you through....and ice hockey.

About 1/4" of ice then 4" of snow. Winter tires rock.

And I'm going to Timmins tomorrow to spend Xmas with the wife's family.

Turboprop in a storm. Not fun.

Safe travels Nostril. I've been spending the day attempting shopping, walked out of 4 stores and the Costco parking lot frustrated. Doesn't anyone MAKE gifts anymore? This clinches it, I'm learning to knit and everyone gets scarves next year...

My wife's family is like that. They make stuff. My wife made me a king size wool blanket for Xmas one year. I airbrushed my wife's derby helmet this year.

You wouldnt happen to know any Scots in Fillmore, would you?

I read about the ice storms you have suffered from in Canada. Sounds really nasty.

Weather.............

It has been in the mid 70s here for the last few days. Yesterday was cloudy with a slight rain drizzle. Makes for a comfortable day, but I would swap with someone for some cold weather and a foot of snow for Christmas!

Really? A lot of ***** goes with it. Falling trees, no power, hwy accidents, HIGH HIGH heating bills, salty roads, shovel related chest pains. Cranky neighbors etc.,

But I know what you're saying (Fred Cook), it's nice in a "White Christmas, Bing Crosby" kind of way. Kids do love it and it enhances the thrill of it all. Best of the season to you and Hope you enjoy it!

Dennis,

Maybe if you move South, as in Annapolis Co., NS?

We had a couple of fast-moving storms on the 15th & 18th, but in between, I visited family in the Moncton and Parrsboro areas.
The last one that went through gave us rain and freezing rain. The snow has dropped and the driveways are almost bare.

Ah well...three months and it'll all be gone!

Merry Christmas!

32 degrees on the drive in to work this morning. Think that's the coldest we've gotten so far. Blue skies, though, and the temps will get up to around 65 by mid-day...
