Watched "ARGO" on FX tonight. I thought it was very good. I remember the hostage crisis but I was young so it didn't really impact me much at the time.

Thanks for the head's up though! SmileWavy BTW...earlier tonight on TCM I waatched the '34 version of "The Count of Monte Cristo". What a classic tale of revenge! :D |
True story.
A man who sacrifices his own potential wealth for principle, a man who dedicates his life to turning boys to into responsible members of society who can be counted on. A true modern day hero. He has made this world a better place. I watched the real story unfold in real time, including the DE la Salle vs. long beach poly game highlighted in the movie. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1432695559.jpg BTW Joe Montana chose this man to coach his son, and when Joe insisted on hanging out on the sidelines and helping, the coach kicked him off the field into the stands because Joe's priorities were not aligned with that of the team. And Joe said "OK coach". |

Funny, I flipped to TCM during commercials of ARGO but didn't stay long. We have the same tastes for sure! |

Yesterday on TCM:
Marriage on the Rocks with Mr. Sinatra and Dean Martin. Could there have been a cooler pair of dudes at the time? 1965 Divorce, American Style with Dick Van Dyke. 1967 2 really funny movies which I suppose were keeping with the times back when they were made. Jason Robards was good in this as well. |
Thanks for the post, Wayne.
Classics like the ones you mentioned were a success due to their clever dialogues, creative story lines, talented actors, and interesting locations. I'm really glad they are still being aired for those of us who appreciate them! |
Home for lunch and "The Breakfast Club" is on AMC.....legend!!!
