Mel Brooks' directorial masterpiece, as far as I'm concerned. I could have sworn he used to advertise it when it came out as being made in "black and white and cardboard."

Even though the reviews on this aren't great, I still want to see it. Apparently, it streamed for free on HBO Max in January 29- February 28th and it seems to be $5.99 everywhere. Okay, I can live with that. I searched HBO Max and only got the trailer, which says at the end "Premiere's June 17." Apparently true, so I'll wait a few days. I don't understand the contradictory infomation.

Imagine how many takes it took to get a scene right........

I liked it. I tend to like Denzel movies. You will probably like it also. This is a different type movie though.

That one is... a masterpiece. I watched that many, many times, and read the book after I saw the movie. Kubrick was a genius and I never saw anything better from Malcolm McDowell.

He did a villian on Star Trek's Gen 2 film, he did pretty good, but any Kubrick film is wild and wooly!;)

Last night i watched, Oxygen. A woman wakes up in a cryogenic pod. She does not recall her name or how she got there. Has less than 2 hours of oxygen and tries to get out. Pretty much a one woman show. Sort of a different movie but I liked it.

^^^ I agree. Post #2064
I like movies that describe 'what could happen in the future'

I missed your earlier post. We seem to be on the same page when it comes to movies. A little Sci Fi never hurts.

stevej37 06-23-2021 10:27 AM

^^^ I liked how they did the robotic shot giving.
She handled that well!

Steve Carlton 06-23-2021 04:15 PM

Interesting. Looking at Netflix, it appears the original version is in French.

stevej37 06-23-2021 04:25 PM

^^^
You can choose to watch it in English...with or without captioning. I just checked.SmileWavy

Steve Carlton 06-23-2021 04:29 PM

Yep. Hopefully the dubbed version is good. In Riders of Justice, the dubbed version sucked.
