PLAY MISTY FOR ME.

On Netflix now, hadn't seen in years. It's dated, early 1970's but I liked that, and the way people and cars were back then. California looked like a different place. And Jessica Walter was an awesome stalker psycho woman.... I knew one of those once...

^^^ Looks scary....is there a plot to it? :D

Just another 'woman scorned' flick.

M3GAN....A very well done horror/thriller movie about AI
I liked it a lot.

No. I like Aubrey Plaza and have been known to enjoy a bad movie but this isn’t one. It took me three tries to get all the way thru it. Pass.

Dog Gone on Netflix.
Based on a true story of humanity and everyday heroism.

'American Experience...The Swamp' on Prime

A docu on the history of South Florida and the Everglades.
Lots of period pics and videos of the drive to settle and farm the Everglades.
Very informative. Lots of info that I was not aware of. Recommend.

'Plane'...starring Gerard Butler.
Tons of action and suspense from start to finish....a very fun movie!

^^^ Very good review of the movie...a week after seeing it, I'm still thinking about it. (and that's the sign of a good movie.)

The best line of the movie is...."You should probably run."
(The guy that did....was fooked from the start.)

That movie will probably be the surprise of 2023 ! Stupid title, not a very realistic landing, improbable 10 ways, all the earmarks of a dumb movie. And yet, it worked, so much fun (and audience whooping at the end). Good surprise !!!

stevej37 01-21-2023 05:02 PM

^^^ Gerard appears to be the most improbable hero of all....but yet he does the impossible and doesn't want any accolades....The perfect hero. :)

Right now watching the original Top Gun.

I like Gerard's movies. I first saw him in 300, which was very good. Loosely based on a true story. I remember Sarah Silverman saying "Do you know why it's called 300? Because on a scale of 1 to 10, that's how gay it was."

+1

Saw it tonight, and was suitably impressed. Great story & performances, the last 20 minutes are certifiable, including a clever jab at Amazon/Alexa. This film will undoubtedly make all the "Top 10" lists of 2023.

I just watched Megan. Usually stevej37 and I like the same movies but I cant say I liked Megan. Mostly because Katy is just not a likeable character. Actually there was not a single character in the movie that I liked. It did get good in the last 20 minutes.

The mother, Gemma, was the only character that I thought was mis-cast. Cady had to be like that because of her pairing with M3GAN
The dance scene will be unforgettable.

Megan did have some good moments. The little girl just made it hard for me to watch,
