Netflix...The Father Who Moves Mountains.
A son is missing while hiking in the mountains...the father can't stop his search.

Finally watched "Marlowe" last night with James Garner. Had it recorded for awhile.

Good movie, you could see the "Jim Rockford" influence seeing as it was done in 1969. Good performances by Jackie Coogan, Carroll O'Connor and Rita Moreno. Even a bit of Bruce Lee action.

Watched it last week - first time as well.

Didn't get very good reviews - most saying it was hard to follow - and I agree.

But I like most James Garner films so there's that.

And Carroll O'Connor - he's always good, isn't he?

Paul Stevens too.....he's always good.

How hawt was Rita Moreno though....wow....smokin'!

"Se7en" is on Ovation right now. One of my fav. movies.....

Somerset: You meant what you said to Mrs. Gould, didn't you? About catching this guy?
Mills: Yeah.
Somerset: Hm. I wish I still thought the way you do.
Mills: Why don't you tell me what the hell it is you think we're doing, then?
Somerset: Picking up the pieces. We're collecting all the evidence, taking all the pictures and samples, writing everything down, noting the time things happen.
Mills: That's all?
Somerset: That's all. Putting everything into neat little piles and filing it away on the off chance it will ever be needed in the courtroom. Picking up diamonds on a deserted island, saving them in case we get rescued.
Mills: [sits up] Bull****!
Somerset: Even the most promising clues usually only lead to others. So many corpses roll away un-revenged.
Mills: Don't try to tell me you didn't get that rush tonight. I saw you. We're getting somewhere.

Thanks Baz. I remember that conversation... "Se7en" is truly a great movie.

(My ex wife was pregnant at the time of the release and we watched that movie together :()

Probably not the best movie for you two to see at the time, as I'm sure you found out....

My marriage wasn't a long one but I guess our movie was "Gremlins" - because it was the one we saw when we first started dating. We also had our restaurant "Leons" here in NSB.

All in the past now, thankfully.

But back in the early 2000's I was dating someone I really liked, and had a movie date with the choices being "The Saint" or "Liar Liar". I wanted to see the former but gave her the choice and she picked the latter - which really sucked and ultimately the rest of the night wasn't so great and to this day I feel if we had seen "The Saint" instead things would have gone much better.

Watching Jack Reacher right now......;)

Ha-ha! I thought Megan was great entertainment after a few drinks. I just didn't take it too serious.

Watched Dunkirk this past weekend. It was hard to follow what was going on with all the jumping around and it seemed like there were 5 Spitfires out at one time instead of the three.

A classic line about the couple that was in the honeymoon phase: "When one of them farts, the other one thinks it's Guy Lombardo."
