For some reason I just do not care for Stalone movies. I saw the first Rocky and did not think it was all that it was cracked up to be. Funny that certain actors may be great but I just do not like them.

I remember watching A Clockwork Orange many times. I think it's a masterpiece- I even read the book after seeing the movie several times. On Sept 1 it goes on Netflix in 4K. I'll check it out again. I didn't realize it was controversial to the point of being banned.

^^^ That should make Wayne's car appreciate in value.

Watched Samaritan yesterday.... never going to get that 2 hours back. If you are working hard in your garage, probably OK to have this playing the background. But to sit and watch it like a real movie, waste of time.

if you like Rock & Roll...

Book of Eli was on again. An awesome movie that nobody ever heard of.

↑↑↑↑↑↑ - Great movie but the message was lost on most people.

I'm overdue for a re-watch. I remember it was good, as most all Denzel movies are.

I read it a long time ago. As I recall he's only about 12 in the book which makes it even crazier.

I don't remember reading that. Looked it up and he was 15 in the beginning. Still very young.

I think that movie was the best thing Malcolm McDowell ever did. Kubrick aged him up to 18-19.

Just barely better than awful. Or not.

re: Samaritan
At least no one died on set from a badly managed weapon.

re: Clockwork. I saw it in the theatre back then and didn't think it controversial. Edgy but not so much so that it deserved banning.

This is an awfully long thread so I apologize if I mentioned this before but I strongly recommend a very little known movie from the 60s called Seconds. Frankenheimer directed.

It’s a very powerful movie that to be honest I think could be boiled down into a Twilight Zone episode. Nevertheless it works very well as a feature.

Thanks - anything directed by John Frankenheimer is note worthy - and can be repeated here as many times as you wish! ;)

I watched, Bloodshot tonight. Vin diesel action. I am not a Vin diesel fan but if you are you will like this movie. Tons of action.

Just started on TCM. "Around the World in 80 Days" - 1956 and starring David Niven.

As always commercial free!
