One of the best movie endings ever!

Next up is "Bullitt". TCM is having a special for veterans with veteran guest hosts for each movie!

I concur although one thing did disturb me. When he was "massaging" his shins with the wooden baton. Very creepy.

Last night on Canadian television, two hour movie, no commercial breaks - I had to hold it. :D

A fine film.

Just watched "An Officer and a Gentleman". Old movie but still good and it bought back some great memories.
Release date: 25 February 1983 (Australia). That was 34 years ago!
I was 18 at the time and I saw it in the cinemas. Not long after that I joined the Army.

I've always thought the fight scene at the end was very realistic & well done.

A smoking hot Debra Winger! (hubba Hubba) She was 27 at the time. ;)

"Shooter" on SyFy right now.....coming up afterwards..."Mad Max - Fury Road".....

Steve Carlton 12-03-2017 08:15 PM

Just saw Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri the other night and would highly recommend it. Serious movie with some very dark Fargo-like humor and local characters. I don't know who else is up for best actress, but I wouldn't be surprised if Frances McDormand wins it. Woody Harrelson was especially good as well.

"Shooter" is a modern classic IMO. A very underrated movie and probably Wahlberg's best.

"Mad Max - Fury Road" - Great but Charlize Theron made that movie.

Watched "Wind river" the other day.. Surprisingly good and different... I'm still cold thinking about it ;-)

That was with Jeremy Renner correct? If it was, that was a good movie.

Finally got to see Atomic Blond today. Fun movie. To steal a quote from someone, Loraine is "badder than Shaft, James Bond and Superfly all rolled up in one. Great soundtrack too.

Have not seen it yet, Jack. May end up just buying the DVD.

Thanks Baz. If you like Jason Bourne, Jack Ryan type action, you should like Atomic B. Similar action but with the hotness of Charlize Theron. :D:D

Watched "Wind River" last night.

Political but extremely good especially if you're into spoons. (but it's a Weinstein movie)
Jeremy Renner plays the roll of an extremely competent hunter. He reloads his own ammunition during the film.

Probably the best action/drama film I've seen in a long time.

(First consider that timeshare purchases are based on impulsive and expensive long-term decisions..)

Outrageous family reality tv draa-ma. The owner of the largest building on the LV strip decides to build the largest 90k sq ft house based on the French royalty place. Add in a perpetually half naked blond trophy wife with a spending addiction, 8 forlorn children, pomeranians pooping all over the house and the 2008 banking crisis to bring down the house of cards.

The update: Director gets sued. They keep the house and continue. Daughter dies.

Last night I watched an old Chuck Norris classic..."Silent Rage"!

Here's a great clip from an all time cult classic:

Just watched the last 30 minutes of "The Shootist" from 1976 directed by the late Don Siegel.

What a great movie, except in the very end when that coward POS bartender bush whacks The Duke.

Nice ensemble cast though.

Anything with Jackie Chan in it is good. He's probably the best Chinese actor of all time & that's saying something.
