Willard: The Hermit of Gully Lake
Prime true story of a hermit in northern Nova Scotia who lived 60 years in a small cabin in the wilderness.

Safe House. Ryan Reynolds and Denzel. I know I must have seen it before but I only remember the first 5 minutes. This is a very good suspense movie.

Red One...a 'better than expected' Christmas movie on Prime.

My pick for free movie of the week on youtube. Violence was too realistic in this tense thriller. None of the phony John Wick stuff. Also, the location was great...pretty good depiction of a Northwest logging town & forest. No spoiler here, but if you haven't seen it...very worth the watch.

Currently airing on TCM..."The Black Stallion" - 1979.

This is one of the movies I specifically remember seeing reviewed by Siskel and Ebert on "At the Movies" when it was first released.

45 years ago - and in some ways it seems like it was just last year.

That was a great show....especially if you were into movies.

Yes! I generally agreed with Ebert initially, then over the years, began to see things differently. We actually had an argument on Twitter before he died.

No one has replaced them, and that's regrettable.
