'Land of Bad' on Netflix
Liam Hemsworth and Russell Crowe in a good war movie. Very realistic scenes.
Crowe is great...as usual.

"Merchants Of Joy" on Amazon.

A well done documentary on 5 families in the Christmas tree business in NYC. Worth the watch.

Approve! Good movie that does not get enough credit. Dark edgy flick and does not hold back.

'The Fanatic' on Netflix starring John Travolta as an obsessed fan of a horror movie actor.
Travolta is great in his part.

Every cheesey line from action movies ("Damn it! I know it's dangerous but it has to be done! Lives are at stake!") but hey, it's Liam Neeson.

Better than I thought it would be. No Oscar nominations but a good, fun, edge of your seat action movie.

This one is along the same lines. Not Liam's best, but entertaining. Just watched it the other night for the second time.

Has there ever been a more accidentally successful actor than Liam Neeson?
I watched this one Saturday and will say I liked the cold weather and photography. But between Liam and his brother in the movie the emotion was zero...
Hard to get excited.

The African Queen (1951) is a terrific film. Director John Huston wanted to use live leeches on Humphrey Bogart, who wouldn't have it, so rubber ones were used.

"Liam Neeson" is very tiring. Not sure how he ever got that much work in the movies. I can see him an a dramatic role other than the man with iron fists and unlimited lives, and maybe he's done some. I haven't come across any. I'm prone to not search either.

"I want my 1.5 hours back." How true with 90% of films offered that you don't have to rent (watch commercial instead) and with many that you do. At 20 bucks I still haven't seen F1 I'm pretty sure it's not a $20 movie WRT to my threshold.

I'll let you know when it comes down to $3.99.

Steve Carlton 12-16-2025 08:34 AM

Liam Neeson did Schindler's List , Taken, K-19: The Widowmaker, and In the Land of !Saints and Sinners that I recall him being good in, especially the last one. I'm sure there's several more.

F1: The Movie streams for free now on Apple TV. If you don't like it, I'll send you a refund!
