Light sabers provide for dramatic flesh wounds, be a good flick.

In The Shadow Of The Moon.....A Netflix movie that is thought provoking.
A little hard to understand...but a lot of suspense.

Watching my favorite Christmas movie now. Die Hard.

JackDidley 11-25-2021 07:42 PM

Finch. A Tom Hanks story about a man, his dog and his robot.

I generally liked the movie but it seemed to be lacking something.

Do you remember the South African movie Chappie? ... Finch was much better IMO.

I remember when Chappie came out but I did not see it. Finch reminded me of Castaway. Only Jeff was Wilson the volley ball.

Sweet Girl...on Netflix
A husband out for revenge about his wife's death. His daughter plays a strong role in the movie.
Not bad....certainly not great.

What are the chances this ends up being available on DVD/BluRay for those of us who won't subscribe to Disney+ just to see it? I saw the original Let it Be in the theatre, but I know this is "more."

I really enjoyed this despite the limited political commentary. Camille Cottin is lovely and the story of a "rough around the edges father" doing the best for his daughter is heart warming.

Don't even bother with "Sputnik" unless 2 hrs of your time is a tax deduction. It's none of the above.

"T-34" was also mind numbing in plot/acting, but had a few glossy cgi visuals.

The only Russian movie I've seen is "Come and see".

stevej37 11-28-2021 09:14 AM

I will see this one for sure.

Cast: Bradley Cooper, Cate Blanchett, Toni Collette, Willem Dafoe, Richard Jenkins, Rooney Mara, Ron Perlman, David Strathairn

This was rough, but I liked it. On Netflix.

That's a great movie. Bruised was like a mix of Rocky, Million Dollar Baby, a tinge of Hard Times, and ghetto.

stevej37 11-28-2021 11:32 AM

I'll watch it....seen the first three of the four you list. All good esp MDB
Ghetto..I can't remember if I saw it.

Steve Carlton 11-28-2021 11:56 AM

MDB was the best in the list, by far. Ghetto was the flavor of some of the characters.

stevej37 11-28-2021 06:00 PM

Watched Bruised.
Halle played the part real well. I have to give her a lot of credit for taking on a role like this. Not much chance to show her beauty.
The girly/girly scene was hot.
