Since I like ridiculous "grindhouse" movies here's one on Amazon Prime. Machete Kills...
Ha, with a cast of 1,000's. Even Elon makes an appearance in the end...

I watched it the other night, but yes, it was better than expected and I enjoyed it. Gotta wonder if the Airstream market benefited from the movie??

Like you said, not great, but enjoyable.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1750218844.jpg

Starts streaming on Wednesday, July 2nd. Action looks good. Premise is ridiculous, of course, but the first one was entertaining.

Hey Steve, we usually love your recommendations, but gonna pass on the "poop" :)

stevej37 06-29-2025 12:07 PM

^^^ I'm still recommending it....just to see what 'could' happen on a cruise. :D

I faintly remember hearing of this when it happened and laughed it off at that time.

About 4000 passengers on a Carnival cruise in the Gulf of America had an engine fire that cut all the electric to the ship for 5 days. No lights, or air conditioning, and the refrigerated food all spoiled in the second day.

Sewage backed up and flooded the cabin floors and showers. All were given red bags to poop in. The first night people woke up and said that when getting out of bed, there was something wet and squishing between their toes.

Cabins were so hot inside that sleeping was impossible. Passengers carried their mattresses out onto the decks to sleep. Too many people for the space so all were sleeping body to body.

When it was all over, Carnival gave each passenger $500 and a free ticket for a future cruise.:D
(Not sure of the exact dollar amount.)

Don't miss it on Netflix!

.

The arrogance and utter stupidity from Rush was beyond belief.

Amazing footage where he is alone in the Titan, during initial testing at serious depths, and the carbon hull sounds like someone is on the outside wailing away on it with a sledge hammer and that guy doesn't think those are dire warning sounds.

Also amazing that his answer for how voids, air pockets, etc., in the hull were visible to the naked eye (due to ignoring every best-practice there is concerning composites construction) was to simply coat the outside of it with truck bed liner.

The Grenfell Tower fire disaster in 2017 on Netflix
72 deaths in the fire that engulfed the whole building due to improper cladding used.

I recently watched Before The Devil Knows You're Dead from 2007. Excellent crime thriller with the late great Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Ethan Hawke. Robbery caper that goes as bad as it can. Well worth a watch.
