Knives Out. Very old school whodunnit mystery story. I liked it.

We also saw Knives Out. No action movie and not much for CGI, but a very good story. We liked it a lot. It was a good change from the continuous action and violence that's normal now days - although I like that too.

Shooter. 2007 Mark Wahlberg movie. Sort of a Rambo thing so if you liked Rambo you would like this. Not sure why I watched it. Boredom I guess.

Wow no separate God Father Thread?

Watching the God Father, again after about 10 years, wow!

Such good acting, writing, and possibly all true.

Wife doesn’t get it other than a guys movie...

I think it hits the familia gene..it’s the inner mans want to protect his family. Plus, the the Subtle terms are both a beautiful eloquence of English, and threats.

Or is it just me?

I liked this movie. It had a lot going for it.

The 22 shooting scene at the boat house was interesting & if you had the skills realistic.

I did like when he shot the Dinty Moore can from some crazy distance. I just have different expectations from movies. than most . I cant even define it.

The Irishman. 3 1/2 hours. If it was half that I would have said, a really good movie. Just too long.

The novel generated huge interest in the movie (and vice versa). The vague inferences that Sinatra was involved with the mob had been circulating for many years. What's not to like about a chopped off horse's head, the kiss of death, the murders (particularly Sonny and Luca Brasi) and the overall calculated brutality of the mob?

The soft photography or cinematography or whatever it's called was in complete contrast to the harshness of big time gangster life. It had a huge impact on making the players appear to have some humanity.

Not just you.

Watched "Us" over the weekend--terrible movie. Absolute waste of time--not scary, funny, or much of anything.

I re-watched "Lost in Translation" tonight.

Still excellent and a great watch with your significant other.

Took the kids to see Rise of Skywalker over the weekend. Since it was Disney and JJ Abrams we didn't expect much but were pleasantly surprised. Was certainly the best of the Disney movies.

The action/flying/bombing scenes were spectacular, the best I've ever seen but the script was just awful.

Why can't they make a decent historically accurate war movie?

It is worth seeing for the war scenes alone but don't expect too much of the rest.

Deadpool and Deadpool 2. Twisted parody superhero movies. Absurd comedy. NOT for kids. Not sure why but I liked them. I did laugh a lot.

How kid friendly is it? I have a 10 year old that is HUGE into WWII history, especially the Pacific theater and the people. From Ernest Evans to Chester Nimitz.

Midway was alright, especially compared to Pearl Harbor. Low bar, I know... But I went in expecting awful and it was not so bad... I'd watch it on TV, might not pay in a movie theater given a choice...

Knives out was pretty good recently... Also uncut diamonds..
