Gemini Man. Will Smith action movie. Pretty fun to watch. Some of the CGI was a bit odd looking but a good movie. Also saw Ford Versus Ferrari. OK, posted my thoughts in that thread.

Coming up on INSP...."Chisum" and after that "The Rare Breed".

INSP is featured classics by The Duke, Jimmy Stewart, and James Arness all month.

The other night "The War Wagon" aired.

Code 8. People with different super powers and problems. Story line was a bit weak but not a terrible movie.

A Marriage Story is good for anyone who wants to relive their divorce(s). An unpleasant movie.

Slow and seemed dorky at the beginning but steadily improved. Well-written, well-acted and most likely up for numerous awards.

Watched an anime movie from 2016 last night, Your Name. High production value.

If you like anime, you probably already know about it. I'm not a fan but I did make it through, which says something.

... Rambo Last Blood.

Well it's certainly a Rambo movie. I wont disappoint fans and it's a true splatterfest. Full horror movie level gore.
The first part of the movie looked promising but then the killing started and it didn't let up until the end.

Paz Vega (Carmen Delgado) had a small but important part. She's been in some good movies in the past so I thought I'd give it a try.
I don't know what else to say. If you're a fan then why not? But I feel this genre of movie is no longer relevant.
Considering the ending I suspect Stallone may make another one at some point.

So I just checked and Rambo 5 Last Blood has made $87,041,796 World wide! ($50,000,000 budget)

Honestly that surprises me.

Movie economics are tricky. Usually production costs are publicized and promotion costs are not. Likely $20,000,000 was spends on promoting the film.

$87 million in gross revenue to theaters nets around 1/2 of that to the distributors.

So on economics alone, don’t expect a sequel.

Steve's Oct 3 view on Joker.

Finally viewed the movie last Sunday. I agree with Steve but felt it refreshing after seeing The Lighthouse the night before. Both are must see movies but wow they are grim. I am really happy for Pattinson. He is a good actor and I have only seen him in the vampire movies before this.

My wife & I saw "Knives Out" recently & enjoyed it a lot. Not a computerized, action movie but very enjoyable. Lots of old actors in it.

Just saw Star Wars at the Udvar Hazy / air and space museum in Dulles Va. Inside the museum is a theatre which has the largest I-Max screen in Va. AND it was in 3-D!

Besides seeing the original - back a hunert years ago, the experience was fantastic. The story fairly predictable but well paced.

I watched this last night with my niece and nephew. (The things you do for kids )
Considering this is the 4th instalment I wasn't expecting much...

But wow, what a movie! Absolutely brilliant. Honestly, I couldn't fault it.
It takes you on a completely unexpected journey with a surprising outcome.

Five out of five stars from me and your wife/husband will love it as well.
