Thoroughly enjoyed that clip TW - thank you. Saw the movie several years ago I think on HBO. Remember thinking "WTF"....ha ha. I think it was the first movie I saw with Christian Bale.

I'm a big SciFi fan - Reign of Fire was pretty good with CB and MM (and especially IS)....

Jessica was scorching in Texas Chainsaw Massacre. White T with no bra for 90 minutes. Academy award worthy performance by her two supporting actors.

You should see Christian Bale in The Mechanic if you are a fan. The guy is committed to his work.

But you may not recall, he was the kid in Empire of the Sun.

Did not recall until now - nice bit of trivia!

I'll look out for "The Mechanic". The original with JMV and CB was really good, although haven't seen it in a while.

TW - Speaking of JMV....did you ever see "Big Wednesday" - the surf movie which was much more than a surf movie? Now that was a good one with William Katt, JMV, and Gary Busey and directed by John Milius. As a longtime surfer I could recognize their surfing stunt doubles, which added a layer of interest....

Wow...thanks - cool story - I just looked it up Yaz and you're right:

Hidalgo (2004) - Trivia - IMDb

Little story....I was dating a girl at the time the movie came out who loved horses. She had a couple at her place when we were together. Ultimately we both moved on - but I sent her this movie on DVD for Christmas - even after we broke up. I thought she'd really be moved by it, even more than I was. She was pretty blown away.

There's some great horse movies out there......;)

Watched "The Loved One" on TCM this morning. Fascinating, dark comedy from the 60s. Many big stars of time and the gal who played the lead was a cutie.

Yes!

The little 'genius kid' was Paul Williams the composer. I think the actress' name was Anjanette Comer. Didn't see her much but she was perfect in gat role

Great choice!

I missed him in the credits. What I did notice is his clothes became more "adult" as the movie progressed. Weird.
