Just saw the latest DiCaprio movie , and wow i don't know what all the hype was about or why it was even nominated for Oscars, one of the worst movies I've seen.

"Star Trek" is on tonight at 9 pm Eastern on FXM.

This is the '09 version, which is sort of a prequel I guess, and depicts the young Enterprise crew members when they first enlisted in Star Fleet.

It's rated 3 stars and IMHO is very good.....especially if you followed the original series and subsequent feature films.

What a trippy movie. I ran across this a few weeks ago and it drew me in immediately. I thought with John C Reilly it would be a funny movie....not even close.


The scene of the lawn near the end gave me the chills.:(

Late alert but one of my favourite recent movies is on FXM right now - started about an hour ago. "The Descendents" with George Clooney. I really like this movie - in part because of the soundtrack.

Check it out if you haven't seen it. ;)

This is the actress (Nadiuska) who played Conan's mother in "Conan the Barbarian".

When reading the post about the Black Robe (love it) made me think of the following movie with a great cast and outstanding acting I thought but, I don't think it got the attention it deserved.

I'm watching the last half hour of "Good Fellas" on A&E. Tommy just got whacked!

Collateral's a great movie though.....directed by Michael Mann, of course!

If you haven't watched it, do it. It really is an interesting look at the rivalry between Hunt and Lauda. No car chases but the scene in Italy when the car Nicki is driving breaks down is very funny.

We picked up the DVD at our local grocery store for 14.99. I think I created a monster in my daughter, though. She knows WAAAYYYYYY too much about James Hunt and Nicki Lauda than any 8 YO probably should.:D
