The local C/College posted the need in their technology division for job training. I've working in construction and fine woodworking for 30+ yrs. I just popped in with my portfolio and they monitored both my classes and student critiques of my lectures etc. First year I was with them I had my students build a replica of a Stickley 1905 bent arm Morris chair in quartersawn white oak. Each student walked away with a $1000 chair at the end of the semester. Management just did a Ummm okkk I'm thinking you can teach ![]() |

Next time your wife wants to buy furniture, talk her into buying tools instead. With the $1000 that she would spend on some cheap MDF POS at a chain store, you can buy a good used Delta cabinet table saw with a Unifence and build her hardwood furniture that would cost 5x the price.
