On the TV news last month was a report and home security video of a woman being attacked by a cat in metro Detroit.
She was trying to shoo the cat away from the dog behind a fence, which the cat had a already attacked once. She did not kick the cat, but was lifting it's sides with her foot to move it back. The cat suddenly leap 5-6 feet in the air and attached to her face, it was very alarming to watch. It was on her head as she grabbed and flung it aside. When the news first aired most viewers assumed the woman was abusing the cat and it just defended it's self. However close viewing of the video supported the report and that the woman was the victim. A few days later the TV news interviewed the woman, her face was infected and swollen, it was quite terrible, and the cat had to be put down as it was on a rampage and even attacked the first responders.

I would never trust a cat around any little kid. If I had a cat that attacked my child for any reason and it survived that long, it would be in the animal control guys truck.
How long until this is on an episode of Portlandia?
