What a difference a day makes!

Today sunny and 55 degrees out, which was great. Tomorrow we have blizzard warnings with 24" of snow and 50MPH winds. and then temps will drop back down to single # at night time. I have had enough winter for this year. Spring can't get here soon enough.

Yup, today should be interesting. I have to run down to Penn Yan to do a job this morning. It is supposed to be very bad down there today. Hopefully I will not be there too long and can drive back north where they only predict up to 24" of snow.

You guys are only going to get rain, up here we'll get the real wet white stuff. I'm hoping the WX forecast is wrong for all of us and we just get a dusting but we already have a dusting this morning and it's supposed to get much heavier snowfall this afternoon. This is heart attack snow, don't shovel it!

Yesterday was beautiful, 40 deg, melting snow, sunny. Today sucks!

We had 45 MPG gusts yesterday. It is supposed to be windy all week. The lowest wind is 10 MPH with gusts to 45 all week.

OK is supposed to be windy.

I don't mind the wind but I hate it when it snows.

It was 80 yesterday. The high is supposed to be 55 to 65 all week. Just a tad breezy.

Yesterday was +6C or about 40F. Predicted 50F in a couple of days. Hardly any wind and some sun. Pretty nice weather finally. Not too much snow on the ground. Sorry about you folks down east. This winter has been brutal for you. G.

A lot of our snow had melted by late yesterday, leaving only high piles and ground cover. Meaning the edges of walks and drives showed a little mud, but it was good mud and exciting to see something not frozen.

The streets were pretty much cleared of ice, no snow left in the streets.

I was walking around with no coat, just a sweater and the sun was glorious.

This morning we got 3 of the 6 inches projected. It's still snowing though, maybe the other 3 inches will fall by the time it's done.

Everything is white again, they sky gray and dim.

The wind howls, and my feet are cold again.

Spring cannot come too soon.

County just issued a state of emergency! The wind is ripping and the snow is falling at a few inches an hour. Good day to stay home and work around the house then watch a movie or two!

Why I live here..........

Yesterday, 80 degrees and partly cloudy. Grass is getting green and the trees are starting to bud out. The water in the pool is starting to warm up and should be ready for swimming in about 30-45 days.

I have a couple of new neighbors who've moved down from the north (MA, etc.). This winter we've had a couple of snow/ice storms, and they're out first thing in the morning to shovel their walks and driveways ('cause that's what they've always done). Being a southern boy, I just let the sun do it for me....Monday I was clearing trees from our winter ice storm....in shorts and 75+ degree weather

Well we got about 22" so far, wind is still whipping out there and the temp is 8º right now. I have drifts in the driveway about 3' deep, and the wife wants to get out this morning. Thank god, I have a cab with heat on the Kubota with 5' front snow blower! I don't have to dress like I am making a trip to the arctic circle anymore, just a sweatshirt and headphones with radio.
