I've gotten some good technical information in bimmerforums, way more than I could get here in the BMW section of PP. Even Supramania is good for finding out where to find parts and the occasional "WTF is this thing?"

Bimmerforums is ok for technical help but I enjoy OT discussions. Seems like everyone is just into bashing one another. I guess its just something to do with the average age, which is a result of the buy-in cost. Whenever they question me (which is almost always a one liner blanket statement 180 out from whatever my point is) I usually just ask them to explain - that generally shuts them up.

I registered there hoping for decent tech info for my E38, and it makes you appreciate just how good Pelican really is.
Now if only the BMW tech forums were more active...
