Sorry to hear about your job Matt. Scary situation for sure.
	 |

This is why I love this place.

How about Greensboro, NC? HondaJet has 61 openings...see link below

Damn Matt, sorry to hear it.
I could live in Greensboro, I like NC. Bill |

Sorry to hear that, Matt. Best of luck for a quick job search.

Good luck in your search matt and sorry to hear about the circumstances. Hopefully there are recruiters circling, waiting to pick out top performers like you.

Wow Matt...sorry to read this. Most of the cliches have already been posted, but they're true. You're gonna be just fine, but it just SUCKS going through it...I've witnessed it too many times to count. WORK that professional network hard with peers that have already moved on. If by chance Greensboro (as mentioned above) hits on your radar screen, I "might" know someone who would be willing to do anything possible to help you out ;). Now go get 'em pal...a year from now this will be ancient history....best of luck!!!

I have a freind that works at Boeing in El Segundo... of course you would have to move to....
All together now... Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Los Angeles |

 Matt,
Will speak with my stepdaughter. She's recruits ME's and ChemE's for Air Products. She is headquartered in NJ, but they are a worldwide company. Matt |

I got whacked on Jan 15 after 7 years. Sucked, but in retrospect, I had become complacent and fell behind a bit with technology. I now have a bunch of cool opportunities in the pipeline and will come out better on the other side.....you will too!! You've got great skills. Best of luck!

How much for the boat? :) J/K Matt....things will work out I'm sure. Good time to take a little time off - maybe a vacation or get some work done around the house - fishing - or just screw off for a couple - few weeks. Enjoy it while you can. The Space X suggestions sounded good...they're doing all kinds of stuff around here...... <iframe width="853" height="480" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/TQ6tZtGrShg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

Sorry to hear. Few things in life are as spirit-crushing as this. Some grieving time is normal and natural. Don't expect instant results. You're good, you're talented and you'll find something that fits your skills. Just accept that it might (and probably will) take a long time. If you get lucky it'll be quick but don't expect it to go that way - be mentally prepared for a long, excruciating slog and a lot of rejection letters (or worse, nothing but silence) in response to many interviews and resumes sent in the coming months.
But keep the faith. You WILL work at a meaningful job again. Hoping it'll be short for you. Best wishes. All the best. It sucks. BTDT. |

This will end up being a big opportunity for you!

Sorry to hear about the lay off. With your qualifications I can't imagine you'll be out of work long. Good luck in your search!
	 |

Sorry to hear the news. Think you posted something not that long ago about having to seek a new job soon. Look around. Something better is out there.
	 |

Ever thought about acting? Send some "head shots" to Hugh R, I hear he's well connected in the movie biz. You could be the next George Clooney! :)
	 |

Darn, you have enough on your plate with the mba and other things. Good luck, and who knows - something even better may come along. OR... they have to pay you triple to come back as a contractor to sort things out.

Crap - that sucks. Don't know what the hiring is like but there is a fair amount of aerospace in Arizona.
