When my brother-in-law was a little kid like 5 or 6 if he was in the front yard playing (late 1950s) he would just whip it out and pee on the tree. His mom saw that out the front window once and yelled at him to never pee in the front yard again. After that he would run across the street to pee. It was way to much trouble to go inside to pee. They did live at the edge of town and the road out front was dirt. The back yard was a wheat field.

I once knew a female crewmember I usta' fly with on ocasion that could piss standing up. Like all of us, she didn't want to clean the "honeybucket" after a sitdown. The C130 had a couple of piss cans on the side of the aft ramp that was difficult enough for a well hung man to use let alone a gal without a spout. Well........I think she had no spout. Just talent & determination.

It goes back to the "caveman" days where the men, being the hunters and gatherers, had to be constantly on the look-out for prey.

But while standing you can determine if you want to run away or towards the cougar and allow yourself to be captured.

There were these two fellars standin' on a bridge, a-goin' to the bathroom. One fellar said, "The water's cold" and the other fellar said, "The water's deep". I believe one fella come from Arkansas.

And JB's peed on everyone's lawn.
