Because of the friction of the water, the bullet drops very quickly, how close could a person be to the business end of the gun under water without it hurting them?

Anyone ever heard a bangstick go off underwater on a shark's nose? If a gun is fired INTO the water, the round is all you have to worry about and it'll slow down quickly. But the shock wave and percussion of the explosion if it is fired underwater near you will most likely damage your ears severely. At the very least it will be uncomfortable. | ||

interesting that the barrel doesn't fail when it's full of water. wonder if you put the front half of the bbl in the water then fired what would happen.

THat's what I was thinking. Was wondering if the water resistance would build up more barrel pressure and blow it....

Because someone once tried to make Toast underwater, we have in the USA UL Laboratories. Very first thought when hearing this is having a weapon explode in your hands.

It is funny how quickly they tumble out of the barrel.
