I enjoy it. It's all fantasy. To me the gore is no were near the stuff in those horror series on HBO. And there is no vulgar language.

I read Shakespeare as a teen. For his time, his plays were pretty risque/controversial, though quite excellent. Game of Thrones is intended for adults. There's lots of sex, lots of violence, lots of "not nice stuff." It is a fantastical story that really depicts the gritty side of human nature and politics. The shows are good; the books are quite excellent. Shakespeare? No, but certainly "good" in its own light.
