Ah, I love you guys. So predictable.

The fact of the matter is, talking on a cell phone while driving is not only illegal in Washington state, it has been found to be one of the leading causes of motor vehicle accidents. As a motorcyclist, I am particularly sensitve to the mindless idiots who seem to feel talking on their cell phones while driving is o.k. I'll assume that those of you responding in support of this ass hat fall into that catagory.

I've lost track of how many times I have almost been hit by guys like you. When that happens, my reactions become much stronger than merely messing with you. I'll at least bust the rear view mirror off, for starters, and go up to kicking a big ass dent/scratch in the door or even busting out the window with my armored glove. Yes, I am that intolerant of this behavior. Yes, I have really done all of that. And yes, I have been run over by an inattentive driver in a pickup truck.

So, maybe I'll see some of you cell phone yammering morons out on the road someday. I'm sure you will recognize me - I'll be the guy effing up your car. Oh, and by all means - I'm always more than ready to pull over and "discuss" the situation with you.

If they made it illegal to talk on the phone and drive in Arizona I'd move.

Are you a cop on duty? Last time I checked, citizens do not enforce laws.

Ah, one of those - the guy who just stands there dialing 911 on his cell phone while the punks beat up the old lady and steal her purse.

I love the unaware hypocrisy here. --motion scolds higs on the law of who enforces law, while others pile on social disapproval for hig's act of social disapproval.

Carry on...

So, how many times has escalating the douchebaggery resulted in someone putting down their phone?

Having been run into opposing lanes of traffic and then splitting between the oncoming cars by a clueless phone user, you have my support.

If a topic is that important that someone can run me head-on into oncoming traffic, perhaps ,maybe it is important enough to find a place to park and clearly communicate with the other party.

This topic brings to mind something that I've noticed lately - past several years, actually.
I don't enjoy riding motos on public roads as much as I used to...too many folks on the phone and I am compelled to always be watchful and vigilant as never before...to the point where my enjoyment level has dropped considerably.
.
I've been riding for over 55 yrs. now and it's my notion that folks in vehicles are not as threatened by motos as they are by vehicles.

Yup - non-stop action. Thrill to the middle aged man placing stern notes on the windshields of those who dare to use two parking places.

The title did confess to be 'juvenile'. Jeez, this place is really becoming judgmental.

Sorry, I have to back Jeff up on this one. Dont know if I'd go as far as he would in dishing out justice, but I definitely agree with his frustration. Ive had WAY too many close calls on my bike because of some self-important schmuck on their phone. Plus I constantly see the result of those same drivers in my work, so yeah I'm very biased.
