I don't mind the paint job, it's fairly tasteful if you're into that kind of thing, but, somebody really dropped the ball when it came time to choosing the wheels and tires.

Why would you want a T handle on a stick shift?

For the same reason you spend all that money for an U-glee paint job (and the same reason some people post pics on Pelican with all the stuff they own, where they've been, who they partied with...)
trying to be noticed and impress people.

I can appreciate it in all its retro inspired glory. Would I ever own it? Nah, don't think so. But if it had a hitch and a matching bass boat? Hell Yeah!

It is exactly what it is supposed to be! It would be fun to see at a car show. I wouldn't own it but I would like to see it. Its fun.

Mine was a serious question.... I track my car, barely touch the knob... Does the T give some special grip? I don't get it.

the standard porsche 1 pause 2 shift is not how drag cars are (or were driven) when it was a stab at the clutch bang the next gear you liked a good grip on the shifter

That part of east Dayton isn't the best part of town. There are some great shops there "Ohio George" Montgomery's famous shop is in the area (Start OGM), but there are a lot of junk yards and less than skilled "restorers" there too.

Nice tilt front end.
Regardless if you like it or not, it looks well done.

I..........LIKE it.

Wheels could be swapped, but I like the custom work and paint.

Everything is cyclical and this is definately the next trend in show cars--70's-style customs with wild paint, street vans, day 2 cars and street freak styles.

While it is nice to see a bone-stock nut/bolt restored car--it gets old real quick(especially with Vettes)--this would draw my interest more.

I like it!
Regarding the T-handle, no self respecting hot rodder would be caught dead without a Hurst T shifter in their car back in the 70s and 80s!

Strictly cosmetic. About the only time one would be useful would be on a rachetting shifter. Had one of them on a 65 nova once.

Start in 1st, then slam it hard straight back into 2nd, then straight forward to third, then straight back again to 4th.
Then lift the lock out bar to down shift, one at a time. 4th, then 3rd, then 2nd, etc.

Not good on a track car unless the track is really long and really straight.
