If you haven't watched it yet then don't open a thread titled f1 qualifying. ..... Use your head. ....
On that note. .... What the heck kimi? Like a bump on a log.......Were ferrari sleeping? And poor hammy.....I'm hoping nico doesn't get screwed by the double points race at the end. ... |

My poor hammy comment had mucho sarcasm in it......I want to see Williams continue to advance, there's big talent in bottas......but nicos got the championship in sight. ..

It looks like Mark Webber's luck has been transferred to Lewis Hamilton.

Nice to see Rosberg on form. Especially nice to see him whooping up on the prima donna. Makes me a bit sad thinking that if Schumi would have stuck with Mercedes he'd be up on the box every race

I feel the same way, but how keen was Mercedes to keep Schumi in the car - in other words, whose choice was it, ultimately?

All though it didn't look like it at time, we can say in retrospect that Schumi was driving very well, since he was quite even with Rosberg over the course of the year, although he had several DNFs, when Rosberg didn't. At the time, Rosberg was probably an underrated driver, but look how he's going now, with a good car. You could even extrapolate performance a bit further and say that Schumi was a better driver than Hamilton at the time, since Rosberg is really handing Hamilton his ass right now. Anyway, I wish things had turned out differently.

Making the last race double points to a world class stupid idea.
As far a Hambone's problems today, it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

Let's see what he can do. Wont be as easy as last week, but if he keeps his cool he
should be able to work his way forward. We'll see what he's made of tomorrow. He's had his share of bad luck, but I hope he hangs in there. Makes it interesting if nothing else. |

What a race, Hamilton did fairly well. Hard not to root for him today!

Kinda funny, it almost doesn't matter where Lewis starts, he always ends "up there". Think about it, destroyed car, starts dead last, spins and hits the wall lightly... But then a safety car royally screws Rosberg and Bottas (considering, Rosberg did OK, look where Bottas finished), Rosberg hits brake issues, etc... If I was Rosberg, I'd be wondering what on earth you have to do to finish ahead of Hamilton ;-) Hamilton might as well stop qualifying altogether and save tires!! Good to see the mighty Mercs not winning for once!

Great race. Vettle is really showing his skill level compared to Ricciardo, and it is embarrassing for Vettle.

I'd say the love affair between Nico and Lewis is kaput. I have to agree with Ham, "I'm not backing off to let him through, I'm not holding him up" or words to that effect.
