Don't forget...........

If you have a favorite body shop, you can choose to have the car repaired anywhere you want. If the other insurance balks, just pay your deductible and let your insurance sue them. When they recover damages you will get the deductible amount back.

Not bad. There is a lot of legroom in the front so if a shorter person sits up front there is plenty of space in back. When we went camping my son and his friend sat in the back and they're both 6' tall. Plus they had gear sitting on top of them and they didn't complain. Much.

I'll see how this shop works out. So far so good since they nodded heads when I talked about the driveline issues. Now we wait and see how it comes out. In the meantime I have a Taurus Exclusive or some such nonsense. It's no BMW...

I'm sorry about the car but what did your doc say about your neck and back?

Sorry about the Bimmer, that royally sucks. With it being a lease, at least you don't have to eventually eat the diminished value. Enjoy the Taurus, great car for when you're 75 someday.

Sorry to hear Todd, maybe you should get to a witch doctor and have her check out your Juju?

Got the estimate from the shop - $2970. They said the vibration is the exhaust system as that was bent. We'll see when it is finished, probably middle of next week. I've moved on to the "whatever" stage. Stuff happens. My neuro check was negative though today have a bit of stiffness and tingling left side of my neck head. In wait and see mode at this point. The problem is that since I have been seen by ortho over the years for neck and back issues if I try and claim anything it will likely be denied due to "preexisting condition." Really is annoying as I was 2 months into swimming every day and was it good physical shape. Now, not so much...

Even with pre-existing ortho/neuro conditions you are not precluded from filing a claim for injuries.

Both personal injury (I.e. car accident) and workman's compensation (work related injury) have provisions for aggravation/exacerbation of pre-existing conditions.

Yeah, just more of a pita. Just taking a wait and see attitude and continuing with the pool and ice.

Sorry for the hijack.

I'm going through a similar process but only with the car.

So apparently the State Farm adjuster can estimate and write a check for me right there in their "partner" body shop.

I have a preferred body shop that works on Audis and other European makes. Should I take the check and go to my body shop, or should I just get an estimate from him and go to my body shop for his estimate?

Thanks!
