Son's Lawn Mower Git'n a Bit Out Of Control...

And the mods continue...last week he did the canopy (from an old folding chair) and this week its a horn... We did go out today and he bought an aerator. I guess there are some folks who cut their own grass and he couldn't get the business. He came up with the idea of offering to aerate their lawn for $20. His mentality is that while not everyone wants him to cut their grass at least he gets some business... Can you spot all the mods?

Have him ride that around his high school and you won't have problems with chicks wanting to send him nudes via text much longer.

Cool! You have to admire his desire to work to get what he wants. Is that a Ted Nugent tshirt he's wearing?

| Get off my lawn! |
Mike, when I was that age we lived in Hawaii & I mowed yards. No off season, always another yard to mow. Then we moved to Montgomery, Alabama on base at Maxwell, AFB. They have a minimum security federal prison on base. The prisoners mow the yards on base for everyone for free. It is hard to compete with free! My brother & I went in 1/2s on a edger. The prisoners did not edge at all. Some yards had not been edged in years. We were busy! You son is having too much fun! Congrats on a good kid. The future needs his type.

Watch out for that exhaust coming out at face level. My grandfathers old tractor is that way and I don't like it. I am sure your sons lawn tractor doesn't pollute as much but still.

Smart kid. Identifying multiple points of entry to the market and delivering respective services for monetary benefit. He'll do just fine Sweet ride, but I'd detail that exhaust stack with a flapper.

A teenager mowing yards for Bux is a lost art...I did plenty in my day after getting up at 3:30 for the paper route...You should be proud...

Funny you mention that ! He does have a flap but it doesn't produce enough force to open it up. It was on last year. | ||

Add a little arm off the other end, with a decent length bolt that you can add nuts to. For a precise counterweight. Strangely that came across as I'd done this before

I offered that as a solution - still couldn't get the right weight balance. I think its worth investigating further. Maybe if we tried metric nuts / bolts?
