Parenting Skills

O.k., so lots of old farts of my generation think kids spend too much time playing video games and not enough living a "real" life. Here is a father who takes it to the extreme.

Part of me wants to laugh my ass off and buy the guy a beer, at least until I think about it a bit more. It strikes me that maybe he missed a few wickets along the way, like going back to the kid's early childhood, if it finally came to this.

For your viewing pleasure (CAUTION! Plenty of foul language...):

Of course. There is another one with the same "dad" and "kid" wherein the dad dunks the kid's x-box in the pool. Aside from that, let's pretend this really happened somewhere...

If he wanted to be a good father he'd show the kid how to make a remotely believable internet video.

LOL. I could only watch half that ****.

The addiction starts young. I try and keep my kids off that stuff. Despite having 100 other things to do, my son was whining about some $3.99 iTunes game that wouldnt load properly. I paid for it and I said I didn't want to hear about it any more....I would just delete them all. Find something else to do.

We limit our kids' iPod use, I still think they play too much. I will pay for a few games, but frequently make them pay out of their own pocket. My 10 year old son has several friends that are bored at our house because he doesn't have the right video games, like Call of Duty.

IIRC, I never used that language in front of my parents....nor did my kids.
OK, staged. At my houses that would have resulted in deeper shat for either set of kids.

it took dad how many years to figure out he enabled the kid into this kind of problem? Good lord he'll probably never figure out his son is also gay.

and not the 'I just don't feel attraction to girls' kinda gay but the 'I'm going to the club and farking every guy there just to piss off my parents' kinda gay.

yeah and who says to their kids 'lets do a joke video and cuss up a storm throughout it!'????

might be a gag but I'd suggest there are very real problems there.

I live far from work in a SFH on a dead end street. We have "outside day" often. If my kids wanted to just play video games all day I could move closer to the city and live in a TH.... when I was a teen, I played some games. I hate them now. I literally have no interest in it.
