Yes.... we are still working out some small issues, but the project is looking really good. Much better, in fact, than the original version did. Thanks for making the connection!

Not all of us are. I'm pretty much just a grumpy *******. And yes, you can be one too!

Craig.... It's not a warbird, but when I finally get my Skybolt finished I hope to meet you flying somewhere. I'll point my finger-gun at you and say "pew pew pew".

Awesome... How do those things fly? Are they as easy a small Cessna or somewhat unforgiving?

Well I learned on a 1939 J4 Cub Coupe back in the 70's and have flown Champs and Cessna 140's and it is as easy or even easier than the 140 only thing it the drag from all the wires etc, it glides well, you just want your landing spot picked out close in an emergency unlike the cub where you can stretch it a bit.

An old story. I didn't tell it to my grandson. You've probably all heard it.

The last living German pilot from WWI was giving a talk to Ms. Smith's 1st grade class about WWI and describing one of the dogfights he was in.
"It vas chaos!" he said, "Der vas fokers coming at me from zee right, fokers coming from zee left - dem fokers was everyplace!"
The nervous teacher interrupted. "I think it would be good to remind the children that a Fokker is a kind of airplane."
"Yah,yah. But de fokers shooting at me vas flyink Messerschimdts."

Why were the Germans shooting a German?

That is cool on a totally new level.
Man I am so jealous. I've got an hour of dual time in a restored aerobatic Tiger Moth & immediately fell in love with low & slow open air biplanes. I've since nursed this fantasy about flying an SE5 or something similar. The August edition of Smithsonian Air & Space has an article on a guy near Kansas City who builds/sells replica kits. If I am lucky enough to come into a chunk of change & have my current P-car finished before I get too old - well only time will tell.

Green with envy.
Cheers
JB

Will the club let you show up with a replica or will you ostracized like they do to the people who build 356s?
