Just proves that hookers dress the way they do for a reason. Looks like she was in that kind of neighborhood. If she had dressed in a classy manner she might have been treated more respectfully, but may have received more smiles and polite greetings. Why would she classthe polite greetings she received as cat calls?

If you want to approach this from the perspective of having manners, no unwelcomed attention or remarks to a woman jus trying to walk down the street is ever acceptable. 99% of being a lady or a gentleman is just keeping your ****ing mouth shut.
IMO, of course. |

Yup. And I don't mind simple hellos and how are you's. I do that... To everybody. Male and female. But I have got to tell you, there are some major creeps out there. Just sayin'. I have plenty of stories. Even when I was dressed professionally and not just walking on the street. But not all men are creeps and not all women are gold diggers. ;) |

Yes, some of them dress exactly like that and are about as average looking. |
Meh, attention whore is successful in getting people to pay attention, edited film at 11, yawn.

24M hits; that's some good monetization right there.
There's also a 'donate' link - how in the fook would money alleviate this perceived "injustice"? |

Hm.. OK. It would seem that a rough summary of your evaluations in two words would go something like: Hypocritical entrapment.

You guys putting her down, picture the lady in the video as your wife or daughter... now how do you feel? |

Granted, there was some cat calling and creepy folks in the video, but much of what was filmed was, IMHO, not harassing at all., I would just LOVE to see her attempt to have someone arrested on the grounds of "street harassment" for merely saying hello to her. Yeah. Let me know how that works out for ya... As for the fellow who was walking beside her for 5 minutes - if she would have said "stop following me" 30 seconds into their joint walk, it would have been over and done. But then she would not have been able to "prove" her point. And frankly, I have never heard the expression "street harassment" until this video. -Z-man. |
Wait. I am sensing a growing opinion to the contrary. The gentleman perspective is gaining momentum. :)

Which is why she carefully chose the neighborhoods to walk through for 10 hours. She didn't film this while walking around the Guggenheim or NY Metro Museum (or even Central Park), on purpose and for good reason. Maybe her next film will be while walking down the corridors of the Men's Prison. |

It is stretching the facts to call "Hello" harassment.
I guess I have been unknowingly harassed and been harassing both men and women for many years. I just thought it was being friendly. |

A gentleman saying hello to, or complimenting the appearance of a young woman would not be out of line at all, but would have been included as "street harassment" If I were to hold the door open for her, same deal, harassment. Quote:

Just can't win with that crowd- wish they'd give the ROW a break concerning their problems, tired of all this "social justice" crap. Everyone gets beat on, everyone. rjp |
