........................ If you're sensitive don't go searching in Google to find out more. You really don't want to know. |
Wonder why Lisa Bonet quit the show? She wants nothing to do with Cosby.

I met Bill Cosby when I was quite young. My Father and I were eating a sandwich at the Deli in the old Playboy Club and Resort in N.J.
I was so excited to see him just chillin in his tennis clothes at the counter. My Father says, go ask him for his autograph, so I walk up to him and ask him, he grabs a Playboy cocktail napkin and writes his name on it and that was it...It was far from what I expected. I don't think he's the guy he sells us to be. Cosby Kids, Pudding comercials etc. are not at all like him. Later in life I heard rumours that he was actually a bit racist. |
When I was in college in the '80s, 1986, Cosby was in town for something. I was in ROTC and was walking up the access drive to the detachment building at Cal Berkeley when a 5-series BMW swept up behind me and turned right across me, almost running me over. I had to jump aside to avoid getting clipped. Black guy with a ball hat and long stogie sticking out of his mouth. He sped into the tunnel under the bleachers of Edwards Stadium and parked. I don't remember thinking anything much other than "dick." An hour later the ROTC corps was out on the grass field at Edwards performing our 1.5-mile physical fitness test and there the guy was, jogging slowly with his stogie and ball hat. Passed him a couple of times and thought nothing of it. Then one of the ROTC chicks realizes it's Cosby and approaches him. She asks if he would speak to the group and he said no. My comment to her was he doesn't work for free.

This for sure.

Kinda' like whistle-blowers. The suits in government and business say they want whistle-blowers to speak up and then they ruin their lives for doing so. Tell us what's going on and then we'll fire you for being a snitch.
|
Wish they would have buried that serial rapist Bill Clinton. Letting him slide by only confirmed to all the victims that speaking up was just going to bring MORE abuse.
Clinton should be broke and in jail......... |
you ever hear his stand up comedy on "spanish fly"?
he jokes about using it as a date rape drug. |

Janice Dickinson has come out with an accusation against Cosby over an incident back in 1985.
EXCLUSIVE: Janice Dickinson Details Bill Cosby Sexual Assault Accusations: He Raped Me |
My girlfriends ex sister in law, absorb that for a second, was a high level model in the 80's. Worked all over the world, playboy mansion parties, etc. She is not surprised by this at all. It was well known in that crowd that Cosby was a predator and if you didn't want to get caught in his "web" it was relatively easy to avoid him, but let your guard down, say be alone with him after a few drinks and all bets were off.

Ya, its one thing if you have one or two coming after you but a stream of them? I don't think it look dat good fo ol Cos

Not to pile on here, I don't like to read on Pelican about anyone accusing someone of being a 'racist'...but I'll add this:
I recall reading a transcript of a Robert Culp (I Spy) interview wherein he stated that, although they became close friends back then, Cosby was the "...angriest man he has ever met". . ~~~~~~ . Bill Cosby’s forgotten “militant” documentary . ATTN: Shadow And Act HAS MOVED —> » Bill Cosby’s forgotten “militant” documentary . pinksghetti March 1st, 2011 at 2:30 pm I don’t remember the exact quote but Robert Culp from I Spy said how angry he thought Bill Cosby was when they first met and how that would make him into a good actor. That’s why people shouldn’t be too surprised about the things he says these days (a lot of which are true) because he’s always been a social activist. . . ~~~~~~~~~~ . <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/gFH8rtVkiCU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> . ~~~~~~~~~ . A dark day.
I was a pretty big fan of Cosby growing up and this looks bad for him. I remember 80s Hollywood quite well. Drugs were everywhere and everybody was banging everybody back then. Magic Johnson, The Van Halen boys, Bill Gazzarri, Bob Crane, John Bellushi... the list goes on and on and it got really weird for a while. It doesn't make it right but it does make it real. I don't know how anyone could sort this all out today and proving something like this in court would probably be impossible. If he did drug and rape multiple women against their will he deserves what he gets. Still hoping it's not true though. |
The 80's were a crazy time - I spent 4 summers in Newport RI (one of which was the last Americas Cup) and between the booze, women and song (and drugs) there was pretty much nothing that could not have happened - actually anything and everything happened. I heard tell of the 60's love fest - let me tell you, it had nothing on the 80's! (also, in the 80's the girls shaved and bathed!!)

Meh, today's middle schoolers live harder than that.

From the NY Times:
"In the latest fallout from the rape accusations involving Bill Cosby, Netflix has postponed a planned stand-up special by the comedian, and a lawyer for Mr. Cosby issued a denial of a new claim from a woman who said he raped her decades ago. Netflix released a brief statement Tuesday night saying that it had decided to shelve a show commemorating the comic’s 77th birthday, which was scheduled to appear on the service starting Nov 28. The statement read: “At this time we are postponing the launch of the new stand-up comedy special, ‘Bill Cosby 77.' ” The decision comes amid a wave of reaction to decades-old accusations of sexual assault against Mr. Cosby that have flared up again in recent weeks. In a television interview Tuesday, the former model Janice Dickinson became at least the fifth woman to come forward with on-the-record accusations that Mr. Cosby assaulted her. Mr. Cosby’s lawyers had, until Tuesday, issued only a blanket denial of all the accusations, denouncing them as “old and discredited.” They said they and the comedian would have no further comment on the case. But after Ms. Dickinson appeared on the show “Entertainment Tonight,” saying Mr. Cosby brought her to Lake Tahoe where he drugged and raped her, Martin Singer, a prominent entertainment lawyer in Los Angeles, labeled Ms. Dickinson’s account “an outrageous and defamatory lie” in a letter he sent to the entertainment trade news site, The Wrap. Notably, in a later comment on the original blanket denial, another of Mr. Cosby’s lawyers, John P. Schmitt, specifically excluded the one case Mr. Cosby has settled — with a woman named Andrea Constand. Mr. Schmitt made a joint statement with Ms. Constand’s lawyer, which read: “The statement released by Mr. Cosby’s attorney over the weekend was not intended to refer in any way to Andrea Constand. As previously reported, differences between Mr. Cosby and Ms. Constand were resolved to the mutual satisfaction of Mr. Cosby and Ms. Constand years ago.” The Cosby legal camp has also not explained its characterization of the other accusations as “discredited.” The furor has clearly put Mr. Cosby’s career in limbo. One of the biggest stars in television history, he has been compelled to cancel a number of television guest appearances, most recently one originally scheduled for Wednesday with David Letterman. The Netflix special had been promoted for some time by the streaming service. Mr. Cosby is still attached to a pilot project at NBC, a new situation comedy in which he would play the patriarch of a large family. NBC has not made any statement about whether it intends to go forward with that project, which is still in the early stages of development. No script has been written." So, it would be reasonable to conclude that he is probably guilty of at least one case. Does it not stand to reason that there's more truth to these other allegations, than not? Call, it rape, call it taking advantage of women under dubious circumstances, call it whatever you want. Mr. Cosby is not a nice person... JR |
I once heard a guy that knew a cousin of a guy that lived in the same state as Bill Cosby's cousin. The cousin once said to a friend of the guy that knew the guy that lived in the same state as Bill Cosby that Bill Cosby one time urinated outdoors by a medium size lilac plant.
True story. |
True or not, the attack has been very effective.......... The guy is toast.
