Another brilliant episode. Attention to detail and forward planning again serves them well.

Those brackets for relocating alternator are some nice work. Everything these fellows have done along the way is quite impressive. I built a street rod years ago, solving space issues and fabricating one of a kind parts can be a challenge. Project Binky has been quite educational.

That alternator setup (all of the brackets, pulleys, and shafts) is simply unreal!!!!

When I was watching the very first episode I thought to myself that what they were doing was awesome, but doomed. I've seen so many car projects that started out too ambitious and always petered out and fell incomplete. There are several on the 914 world board where they got so into doing it that they lost sight of FINISHING it. And it languishes. I feared this was going to be one of them. Many years later, it looks like these guys might finish. But it's taken many years. Truth be told it died several times but has been resurrected. Their creativity and skills are incredible, better than mine on my best day evar. But I've only had one project die: a chopped top square back when I was 19 and even though I didn't finish it, the car was drive-able and the guy I sold it to finished it within a year. But I got in over my head and got burned out. Word of advice to those planning to start a car project: 1) keep it within your means. If you start out over your head you'll end up burned out with a partially finished project. 2) the goal is to finish the car and drive it, not to impress others with your skilz or creativeness. Keep it simple and doable or it will be doomed. And there is nothing impressive about an abandoned half-done project, no matter how clever you were with it. They earn $ when people watch their videos. So there is no incentive to finishing it.
