Brave? I'm thinking more like stupid.
He's married (i assume), with a young child; if he kills himself or worse, becomes paralyzed its his family that suffers.

That "Outdoor Television" link wouldn't play for sh8t on my connection.
Here is a better video (IMO), with interview.

I fully agree with the other posters. People with family should never take any risk.

At the very least, it looks like he needed arm restraints/tethers.

But, agreed, with the lady and little one, what he really needs is something a bit less potentially fatal for a hobby.

That's a serious engineering fail. Unless the driver hit the wrong speed they obviously messed up the jump angle or weight distribution of the car. Pretty sure Hugh wouldn't approve.

So does that count? If you're going to be foolish, at least be a successful fool.

If only Evel Kinivel (sp) would have had a GoPro back in the 70's.

Not putting miles on your car is like not having sex with your girlfriend, so she'll be more desirable to her next boyfriend.

BING, BING, BING. An evening meal of poultry for you sir. Non HANS and an open-face helmet. Go spend $25 and get a neck roll at least.
Effin' stoopid.

Not my gig. We've had a few failures, but nothing like that. Most of the time they under perform, not over perform.

You can pretty clearly see the Hans device in the video, as he is unbuckling and climbing out of the car.

Yeah, think you are correct. But damn, his necks SNAPS on the first impact. Still dumb for an open face helmet though.

I just cannot wrap my mind around how upside down this went. They did a lot of practice jumps at close to this distance, but this one was not even close to happening. He went nose first into the ramp. Something strange had to have happened. I wonder what the explanation is.
