Start with just a belt. Remove fan, swap belt. Quick n easy. Remember the fan is reverse threaded. I use a crescent wrench and a small prybar wedged against it and over one of the surrounding bolts that hold it. Takes .02 seconds to remove it, no fancy tools needed

Make sure the fan isn't cracked while its out

Just screw in it back on, give it a light tap on wrench to tighten it, that's it. It tightens as it runs.

NO way.

That's a 10 year old Audi. I was referring to the brand new models. They've always had nicer interiors, but just about any comparison will rate the new Audis as being better to drive than comparable BMWs. The reliability surveys are putting Audi near the top of the list. BMW seems to be more about tech, less about the driving experience in their modern cars.

I guess we'll see about that. It don't look like it's getting any better..Not like I would know anything about "New" cars....

Check back in 5 years.

One more thing-

PS pump- they are known to work loose at high miles- I loctited mine when I first got the car to avoid this- remove belt, then pull (3) bolts one at a time and apply loctite:

Today's drama: my recent Behr radiator lasted 18 months- split at seam- which explains the recent bleed problems I encountered-

Wonderful.
