The "truth" is that March picked a fight with a guy way over his weight class and the league saw nothing wrong with it.

In case you haven't noticed, they penalize Marchand every time he sneezes (and for good reason since he has a, ahem, checkered past) and he gets abused with no call on a regular basis (IMO wild west justice handed out by the officials)

What's the big hairy deal? Eller got beat by a guy who is a half foot shorter than him. Like I said, just another hater looking for something to complain about.

So, yeah, you are whining but, that's O.K. most Pens fans are used to it

At least you like hockey so I'll give you some slack for that.

The actual "truth" is that Marchand didn't pick a fight,--which would have been absolutely fine, square up, drop the gloves, fight on--but instead he blindsided a guy during a goal celebration. He no doubt got the best of Lars, but as is typical for Marchand, did it in a dirty fashion.

I blame all of that D-Con he has consumed over the years. It is impacting his thinking.

Your whining sounds worse than the goofy accusations at a recent confirmation hearing. Any excuse to sling hate. Marchand is such a bully picking a fight with a guy that is 5 inches taller and over 25 lbs heavier.

Unless you are totally clueless about the game of hockey, you understand that frustration boils over and fights happen. Sometimes it is to rally the losing team to get back in the game. Sometimes it is a reaction to the gloating. Sometimes it is just anger that your team is doing poorly.

Quit your whining and get over it. You got a beef with the guy? You make a note to have a "conversation" the next time your teams play each other. I give props to March for taking one for the team. To me that is a plus.

Flat: did you watch the fight? Tell me who got a haymaker landed on his head?

Yes I did, Brad did some serious damage above his weight class. I understand the frustration. Getting whipped by 7-0 is humiliating and it doesn't take much to set off that bomb. Lars could have been more circumspect in his celebration and Brad more professional as well.

Very interesting comment from Eddie Olczyk on NBCSN tonight: he basically said that Eller got what he deserved for being a punk kid that night.
Oh, BTW, the Marchand line currently is #1 in power rankings and the Crosby line is #17.

I have a feeling there are some very sad folks in Pelican

No one said he wasn't talented, Joe.
It is just that he is an *******.
That is all... :)

Edit: Filters didn't like that word.
Lets try it again.
Azz hole

Watching a bit of the Boston/Detroit game after my bike ride.

Beauty pass from bad Brad to Pastrnak (sp?) in the 3rd period for a nice goal.

Marchand has become a very respected player in the league. He still chirps but has skills others can only dream of. He's the guy everyone loves to hate unless he plays for their team.
I still would rather have an agitator than a crier.

Yep--so respected he was once again named "dirtiest player in the league"

Por_sha911 02-16-2020 05:55 PM

By fans or players who hate his skills are above theirs or is it just reputation?

By the players. I doubt it is jealousy, more like observation.

Por_sha911 02-17-2020 05:21 PM

I can't find this rating you speak of. Please provide a link that is recent. Thanks

This is from last year . IDK who the hockey writers are or their demographic. The list doesn't seem to be in any order.

https://thehockeywriters.com/top-10-dirtiest-nhl-players/

I remember the guys on this list better

https://www.msn.com/en-ca/sports/nhl/20-of-the-nhls-all-time-dirtiest-players/ss-BBGEjq0#image=1

but again IDK whose opinion it really represents.
