He deserved to be suspended. Cassidy said it best: "March just has to have control of his emotions in that situation," "Live to fight another day, get ready for the next game, and unfortunately (it) got the best of him.

Neither the punch or the stick were injury causing and if he hadn't poked the stick it might not have been a suspension but doing both was a bonehead move so yeah he deserved to be suspended. The only reason he got 6 was his previous suspensions made it more than just 1 or 2 games.

What really sucks it Marchand has career numbers that could put him in the HOF but with the suspensions the haters will scream louder than woke cancel culture.

I don't think it would have mattered much if a different player had performed those acts, Joe. BM was in the care of an official after the first blow when he tried to spear Jarry in the neck.
A player without a history like Brad's would have still gotten 4 games for those antics.
He is an amazing talent but this type of thing certainly lowers his status and ranking overall.

BM got a shot off but it was blocked by the goalie or players in front of him, if you watch the reply you can see the goalie with the puck in his glove showing it to BM and chirping at him, thats when BM showed his class with a stick to the face :eek:

Marchand left the Bruins but he is still up to his old habits.
Game 3 of the Cup finals and already has 4 goals including a shorty and a game winner.
